Greetings everyone! My name is Chuck. I have been lurking around on this site for years. I had for my first real car (second total) an 86 SE if I remember correctly almost 17 years ago when I was in high school. I was in love with that car. I still love that car, but it met an unfortunate end at the hands of a family member who didn't grasp the finer points of putting oil in the engine. So now many years later I have finally acquired another fiero from another member, MonteC. I would like to say thanks to MonteC as he not only sold me the 87 GT and the 3.4 pushrod to swap into it, but was also kind enough to deliver it to my parents house in SC. As I am currently in South Korea that would have been a little difficult for me to go get it

So now I have a project to work on when I get back. As i'm sure many before me have, I have big plans that I can only hope that I will have the time, skill, and more importantly the money to complete! One of my first things I want to take care of are new rims and tires. Mainly because I'm a computer geek and by no means a mechanic. So I have a question for you guys. I really like the look of these rims.

WDMs by enkei proformance. A little heavier that some others, but I love the look. I'm going for style more than anything. According to www.tirerack.com thay come in 15" to 18". I'm thinking wither the 17x7s or 18x7.5. 5x100 bolt pattern, +42 offset I have searched for some tire info, but don't actually understand the info I found. So if any of the kind souls that grace this board could tell me for definate, 1. Will these fit a stock 87 gt without rubbing or scrubbing anything and 2. would the 17x7 or the 18x7.5 fit better? or even the 16x7s.

So greeting to all and thanks in advance to any info thrown this way!

Welcome tgmchuck!!
Congrats on your newest Fiero!

If you get time, please post your thoughts in OT, regarding the current state of affairs on the Korean peninsula.
Will there be open hostilities?

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Checking the boards is a little weird since I about about 13 to 16 hours ahead of everyone. get most of my replies about midmorningish.

I don't suppose anyone had any answers about the rims? I think I remember reading somewhere that wheels with +35 to +45 offset worked fine, but wanted to make sure before I jumped out and bought rims that wouldn't work.

Welcome to the forum. What part of SC did MonteC deliver your car to? I know MonteC had the car in Summerville.

There are a few of us in the Charleston, Berkely, Dorchester county area.
