Theoretically, if I were to put this car up for sale, what would someone pay for it?
She started out life as an 88' base coupe cjb t-top car. Only options are a/c and auto.
Now she has a brand new interior, new custom paint, aftermarket 17's with brand new tires, lowered all the way around, 2.0 turbo motor with 20k on motor and 50k on auto trans. All of the gauges work.

Zero miles since swap as it's not completed yet, will be by Friday.

New carpet, seats, door panels, gt cluster, etc. It's intended to be a formula clone. Rear fuzzy panel is recovered in leatherette.

20% tint on doors and rear window, 50% on windshield.

Brand new "Formula" decals on doors and rear decklid. Just installed last week.

New headlight motors, new rotors, pads, and calipers, new front and rear speakers with the underdash rodney dickman sub. Alpine cd player.

Only one spot of rust on the entire car. Pic of it is at the bottom.

This car is virtually flawless. I have $4k in the car, just curious if I could get my money back out.

Car only needs 3 things.... Outer dew wipes, headliner isn't torn but it's kinda dirty so I would replace it, and the rust spot in the trunk taken care of. It's about the size of a quarter. I checked the upper frame rails and they're spotless.

Here are the pics

there is a GT fastback for sale where i like and has about the same modifications you have and its selling for $4000 CAD.
but your car is T-top so that kinda brings the price up alittle
but i think $4000 is to much for me for a fiero for me.

Set a price that you want for the car.. Threads like yours come up at least weekly and you can sell it for whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I would never purchase a car just from viewing photos or try to estimate its value from just photos.

I appreciate the tips OLD LAR, I'm not actually trying to sell it, just merely get a feel for what people think it's value is based on pictures. I can say this though, the pictures do not do the car justice. It's better in person than a picture could ever show. It's Very Very close to flawless. Even the baffles in the gas tank are still in-tact.

I'll take a stab at it; $2,500 - $3,500 range.

Nice car. I like it

it's a piece and not worth anything

just give it to me, save yourself the trouble

Seriously, I'd say if I had money I would give north of 4K for it, Not sure how many people would go for that engine since I've heard bad things about it, but, it's engine swapped, true T-top, 88, pretty much no rust, looks sharp, etc.

I'd list it on craigslist or fleabay for 5-6K and see what happens.

Did I mention it's a sharp car?

-Brandon

------------------
The List;
1) 98 Jetta TDI (55+ MPG) 2) 95 BMW 325i 5 spd (Wife's car) 3) 82 Chevy Scottsdale 6.2 (tow duty)

8) 87 GMC S15 2.8 5spd parts truck 9) 91 Mercedes 190E (diesel 5spd swap) 10) 84 Mercedes 190D (donor) 11) 85 Fiero (parts)

What kind of door panels are those? The interior looks awesome. $4k is probably a good estimate, but who knows.

oh my word. nice door panels!!
can have some

and nice touch with the Turbo Sunbird motor, I thought about that swap a while back but couldn't find the engine...lol

for what you have, if it runs, drives, and didn't have rust. I'd say anywhere from $2500-$4000....To the "RIGHT BUYER." if someone sees it and falls in love you might be able to get more...

Nice Car!!! Great Job!!!

Well I'm very happy that everyone seems to like the car.

There have been alot of compliments on the door panels, thank you for that. I designed them, but Kent Upholstery in Indianapolis did the work for me. They're in the Yellow Pages. Total cost on the door panels was $150. I'll be taking the car back to them to have the headliner and sun visors re-covered. They gave a $200 estimate on what I wanted done. They do very nice work at extremely reasonable prices.

So $4k seems to be the mark for this car....... Would it potentially be worth more with an L67?

It would probably end up being a $5,500 - $7,500 car with a 3800SC in it

Again, just a guess based on what I have seen Fieros sell for. As said before, 'with the right buyer', who knows.

If you had a 3800SC series 2 / auto in it, You and I would be having a PM conversation on this car. that is if someone else had not beat me to it.

Well, if you go by the fiero price guide, it should be worth $5450. I based that on the engine having 20,000 miles. But I don't know if that should be adjusted because the chasis has 140k. So maybe adjust it to $5000 even?

The best price guides are the ones of actual car sales in my opinion. Do an advanced search on ebay for completed auctions. If you compare the price guide to what the cars are actually selling for the price guide can be 1k to 3k too high a lot of times. That is why Insurance companies no longer use kelly blue book when determining a cars value when it is lost or totalled. The price guides just don't usually reflect what a car will actually sell for because economy, demand, supply, fads, these things vary and fluxuate constantly.
