From my limited understanding, they need a bit of readjustment when new. Kinda like a break-in period thing.

You will need a metal bar about 2 foot long put it under the alternator and loosen the alternator bolt now take up the slack with the bar by lifting the alternator now tighten that bolt whilst lifting and problem solved.

Yeah, I was pretty sure it was just in need of a tightening. This happens.

retighten AFTER cleaning the pullys - you might wat to look into a belt tensioner from Rodney Dickmen or Dodgerunner.

Make a tool something like the one on the left of this pic. Stuff it between the pulleys and open it out using the nut to tension the belt, tighten up the accessory bolts and remove the tool. Beats trying to swing on a bar to keep the belt tensioned with one hand while using your other two hands (!) to tighten the bolts!

I hate the belt squeal that all v6 Fieros have. I have used Dodgerunners kit on several Fieros and I love it. no more noise or over tight belts.
