Well after 5 other fieros I now have number 6....and it's a......wait for it......wait for it......FASTBACK 5-Speed!!!!! YAY.

I was overly joyed to find out it was the same car a fellow forum member had for sale a little while ago.
it has Black Powerdercoated Intake Manifolds and Valve Covers, EGR block offs. and a rather high output ACCEL coil mounted to the trunk firewall.
Cat delete pipe. and both headlight motors work perfectly (that's a first lol )

1987 Silver GT Fastback 5-speed Getrag. Power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, sunroof, PERFECT SEATS, rear window defrost, rear spoiler, A/C.

I still have my 88 Coupe 5-speed (number 2)
and my 85 GT auto 70k miles (number 4, which is FORSALE $2700 to forum members)

I'll get pictures up after the car show tonight.

toping the tank off with premium just so it knows I'm going to take good care of it

FUTURISTIC GAS FILL, no more gas cap, just put the nozzle in, then fill up. then take the nozzle out and close the gas door. it seals in self with an internal spring and is water tight.

Congrats on your new purchase. Did you go to the Hardee's car show today?

yeah, that sounds like the typical asking price when folks are strapped for cash.
but truth be told...I've never spent more than $1700 on any Fiero I've ever owned (at the time of purchase) not including new parts, alignments, paintwork, etc....

the name on the cap is "PERMACAP"
do a google or yahoo search. I think I'm going to get one for my 88. it was so quick to fill up, and I had no gas fumes on my hand from touching a gas cap. lol

Thanks Everyone!!!

I just spent most of the day detailing the engine bay, and doing some very basic paint work to the strut towers, vent brackets, engine bracket, dogbone, air cleaner lid, and the sparkplug boot heat shields.
tomorrow I'm going to go work on the subframe and maybe some suspension parts.
keep in mind THERE IS ZERO RUST ANYWHERE. I'm just doing this paint work for nostalgia.

I'll put some pics up tomorrow evening when I feel like I've done enough spiffing up to last a lifetime

it's kind of nuts. there are more Waukesha County cops roaming around now than I ever saw in Waukesha itself...lol
I am proud to say we know have a couple new biker cops. always fun to drive with one of them near by.
I was in sussex today because I was coughing up blood (topic to tell off the forum because it's probably nothing)
there where more than 13 squad cars including 4 unmarked white, black, and one silver one.
I had cop cars following me around when I was in my GT since monday...I feel like I'm a teenager again...hahaha

Nice

And biker cops always end up scaring the crap out of me. The road is cop free and half a second later there's a bike cop next to you. I swear they come out of nowhere. Not that I'm speeding though....

the one on hwy 83 in Delafield. it's every tuesday from 5pm-till folks want to go home, which is usually around 8pm.

also Weisgurber's Gasthaus right off of I-94 on Silvernail road every Wednesday from 4pm-till the sun is down.

there's also one at Sussex Place Bar about 3/4 of a mile east of Quad Graphics. don't know if I'll go to that one again though...

give me a call sometime, I've been trying to get local fiero guys together for a show is Pewaukee (Fiero Show) at Moe's Southwest Grill on a Saturday during the day or something.
I sent you my number.

it is. and I just ordered a brand new set of quarter windows the were on sale. they're slightly tinted and don't say "GT" on them. I opted for the after market style because they cost less then half of the kind that immitate the stock ones with the dots along the edges of the see-through part. and have the GT logo.
who can complain for $94

my next order of business is to put install a new stud kit I've had sitting in my garage since I had my first fiero. the front manifold is white at one end (the passenger side of it) so I I think thats where my exhaust leak is. I've got new manifold gaskets too. they are stainless around the ports, SWEET

don't get me wrong, a fiero is a fiero no matter what factory body style it is. but I've wanted a fast back for ages, now I'm hooked.

oh and the clicking/ticking I heard. not the exhaust at all. I had a brain fart. I've heard the same thing before. and I double checked my thoughts....
sure enough the ticking I hear is actually something that's moving and when the RPM's go up it clicks/ticks faster...want to guess? lol
it's the clutch. hahaha, not matter though. once I've sold my 85 Silver GT ($2600 without the wheels) I'll replace the whole clutch assembly and flywheel. maybe put a 3.4 in...lol idk yet.
I don't like hearing the noise, but it doesn't affect anything...I'km just happy I have a good working fast back right now. I'll worry about the ticks, squeaks, and rattles later.

I'll put more pictures up of the interior. I have a spare set of Dot Matrix Faceplates I'm going to put in, along with a CD player and changing the bulbs in the corner lights and rear "PONTIAC" over to LED. I hope I have enough stashed away...
