Pontiacs with a Purpose.....Pontiac Enthusiasts Support the Fight Against Childhood Cancer
September 17-19, 2010......Celebrating 84 years of Pontiac History
It's a great time of the year to visit Rhode Island and help raise money to fight childhood cancer at the same time. Check out
http://www.fieropride.com/pontiaccelebration/ for information about this weekend event and to download a flier. There are 22 classes scheduled right now, but I have been assured that if we can get enough Fieros we will have our own classes. Just by word of mouth advertising, a few Fieros are already planning to attend so I'm confident that by show date the Fieros will be out in force. What better sight can there be than a large group of Fieros dotting the landscape. Let's show our bigger Pontiac cousins how much we enjoy our little two-seaters. I'm keeping track of the Fiero count so please contact me at pran@cox.net and not the contact information on the flier. I'll be glad to answer any questions you might have and I can send you a registration form.
Come spend the weekend with your family at the Crowne Plaza hotel and enjoy the activities planned. If you attended the P.O.C.I. Regional Show there a couple of years ago you know how nice this hotel is and how much fun the weekend was. The Pontiacs with a Purpose weekend is pretty much modeled after that regional show. To view pictures of the hotel, check out
http://www.ichotelsgroup.co...cp/1/en/hotel/wrwri. This is a beautiful hotel with expansive grounds and easy access to Rt. 95. The show committee has worked with the hotel and block booked 40 rooms for the weekend at $99.00/night dbl. occupancy, which is an even better deal than the regional show. To book your room, contact the hotel directly at (401) 732-6000 and use the promo code LPR.
So, mark your calendars for a wonderful getaway weekend in Rhode Island in September as we celebrate 84 years of Pontiac history and help in the fight against childhood cancer. Hope to see you there. Please help by spreading the word.
Sincerely,
Gwen Randolph (Phil's wife)
