I was just doing some reading on GMs 60 degree V6s and was reading about the 2.8 turbo that are in some Saabs. I was curious if anyone has swapped this engine in to their Fiero?

I don't think its the same motor. I may be wrong but I think its different/ not a direct swap in like a 3.4.

Yea i would love one of those in a fiero. it is of the same design as the 3.6 DOHC engine in the new camaro and other high end GMs. The Turbo-X versions makes 280hp. I believe the computer part would be difficult.

I was just looking at this too. I think this motor will work also, just hard to get the electronics going. It's just like the 3.6 llt and ly7. This motor sound bad azz too!

Dan Wilkinson (Fiero Fiberglass) has a Saab Turbo setup in one of his Lambo Countach replicas that he is building.
It is basically the same 2.8 v6, and he says the tubing and intercooler line up almost perfectly under the drivers side
vent.
