Well...after owning the car for over 2 years, collecting a bunch of parts for it (which is in a constant state of flux) I finally started work on my project. Starting with a pretty thrashed '88 Formula, I plan on making it look as close to the picture at the top of the page.... http://www.fierocountry.us/myproject1.html I just started, it will probably take a couple of years to get it into a reasonable facsimile of the artists concept rendering (thanks to Peter Archer at Stingraysstudios.com for that).

What are you using to "bond" the scoop to the hood? is that Kitty Hair? if it is, it might work, though strength is a concern with it :P. if it were me, I would have gotten a bit of fiberglass resin, and some Matte and Cloth and glassed it on, and finish it with either Kitty Hair or Bondo for a final flowing finish. Anyway, it looks real neat!
A few more pics....probably one more skim coat before I start glassing it in...... and when I get to work on it depends on whether or not Verizon goes on strike up in the northeast or not tonight.......

id like to see how this comes out. picture looks cool
------------------ 1987 Fiero GT built by my brother, merlot566jka, 3500 LX9 from 06 Malibu, WOT-TECH.com 1280 grind stage 3 cam, LS6 valve springs, 1227730 ECM conversion, Darrel Morse solid aluminum cradle mounts, Truleo headers modified to fit the 3500, 36# inectors, 70mm 4.3 throttle body adapted to 3500 intake, ported heads, upper and lower intakes, lightly polished, tcemotorsports.com crank trigger wheel, CenterForce dual friction clutch, Flowtech Afterburner muffler, 2.5" piping, cat deleted, EGR deleted, SinisterPerformance tuning, C6 Corvette exhaust tips. projected to be 35 MPG with a guesstimate of 250 hp to the wheels
Unfortunately I haven't been able to work on it for a few weeks. We've had some family losses last month, so I wasn't able to work on it. The scoop is a low-rise L88 Corvette piece that I got from a fiberglasser in Alliance, OH.
Ok...I finally got back to work on my hood. Had a rough last quarter last year, losing my mother and 2 uncles, then my accident in Virginia which totaled my 03 Mustang... but here are a few pics of it after sanding the skim coat...
and I finally have a running Fiero...so I hope to have this installed on it for Daytona....
