Page 54 of the May issue of rides.

Page shows coverage of a Miami Auto Show, and shows a really nice modified fiero with lambo doors. The car has been on the forum before and i believe the owner is a friend of LT188GT .

They actually kind of took a sideswipe at us by saying "No you are not seeing things that is an unscorched fiero ! "

I have not seen the magazine yet but is this the car in question?

A non PFF member owns the above car. His name is Angel----NOT Angel of 87GT2M6 fame.

As you can see, he is into stereo's in a big way. His car was / is a test mule for stereo installations.

Nice car and also a nice owner.

Yeah Clem that is the one !

Really nice car. I was hoping you could convince him to come to Daytona one year so we can all see it in person.

The owner of the car is not really into clubs or forums unless it is stereo connected.

S.S. can be polished but you must have a lot of patience and time. I have played with S.S. just to see what can be done.
I have a small foot square piece of stainless that I polished to a mirror finish but it is stashed some place in my shed.
It was just an experiment to see what can be done.

Do you use a polishing compound, very fine wire wheels at first then buffing wheels.... How's the process?

SOMEONE SHOULD DO A WRITE-UP --- I'M thinkin.

I used a fine rubbing compound and finished it off with A LOT of Blue Magic Metal Polish using a white polishing wheel attached to my drill motor and finished using my hands at the end.

IT WAS NOT WORTH THE EFFORT.

Like I said above, it was just a test to see what can be done. This was over two years ago.

EDIT to say that Angel MIGHT have the chrome plastic on his engine decklid. Not really sure as I have not seen Angel in quite a few months.

You can buy polished stainless in various thicknesses from McMaster-Carr.

I've made up templates, and am in the process of cutting my first sets of trim inserts. I'm going to try some sets in polished stainless and some sets in polished aluminum (cheaper).

I should be able to post these in a week or two with pricing.

How do you get inside? These doors seem not to open up enough. Nice car not too big on graphics but it looks clean.
