I need to put the roof liner back into my 85 Fiero GT - I was not the one who took it out so I am not sure how it goes back in. Anyone have a diagram of such or any suggestions would be most helpful.
Thanks.

Are you refering to the headliner inside the passenger compartment? If so they are all the same. A sunroof adds a little complexity but minimal. I replaced mine last summer with one from The Fiero Store. The interior trim disassembles starting from the rear, then remove the pieces as you go forward.

Here's how I do it: This is assuming that all your interior trim is still in place and no sunroof?

Remove the seats - makes it way easier - especially to remove the "B" pillar trim.

Remove the lower door / carpet trim. 5 cap/covers for the trim screws.

Remove the "B" pilar trim - you have to remove the 2 seat belt bolts. There is a phillips head screw in the door jam face above the striker pin. There is also a trim clip simialr to a door panel clip 2/3up on the trim. Pull out and a little forward at the bottom of the trim work it slowly.

Remove the upper door trim - "A" pilar trim. There are 2 trim clip along the windshield and 2 tabs long the top. Work it out easy as the tabs will break off the trim in you pry it too much. the 2 clips on the windshield can be tough but if you work it out at the top then try to slide it upwards, it shoud slide off the clips.

Remove the sunvisors - 3 screws each.

Remove the 2 coat hooks.

Remove the thrid brake light cover

Remove the interior light.

Install your headliner and reassemble.

If you have one from the Fiero Store, it does have a sunroof, and all your interior is still in place, follow these simple instructions and you'll be all set.

1. Sit in driver's seat. With driver window rolled down, bring headliner into the car, holding it over your head.

2. On the passenger side, gently work the headliner into the gaps between the trim and the chassis.

3. With headliner secure in the passenger side trim, gently bow or bend the headliner in the middle enough to slide the healdliner into the gap between the driver side trim and the chassis.

4. Install dome light, sunroof latch, and sun visors.

5. Gather loose material around the sunroof opening and secure it into the chrome strip in the sunroof with the rubber trim piece.

6. Wash car.

7. Grab wife, significant other, dog, or favorite '80's hair band CD.

8. Drive.

9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 as often as possible.

One additional piece of advice to the very good previous information, don't tighten anything until you get the sunvisor screws started. The sunvisor screw holes are PITAs to get started and impossible if the headliner can't be moved around. Also, note that the sunvisor pivot/hinge can be removed from the sunvisor while trying to start the screws. I found it to be a lot easier.

Here are Buddy Craigg's videos on removing the headliner. Should give you some idea of how to put it back in. THe last one is where he actually pulls it so maybe start there.
