I really like the look of my Formula with the stock hood. Now with that being said, I have noticed that my car gets up there in temp in the summer time, like any other car, but I would like to keep it down. I don't know if there is much of a solution besides installing a hood vent, but what are my options? Like I said, if I could keep my stock hood and figure out a way to get the air to exit or cool my car down I would. In the 60-70's right now, my car is staying around 180-190 degrees. I know with summer heat, it will be in the 195-205 range. Probably about right for hot hot days, but I'm just one of those freaks that would like to find a way to keep it a bit cooler. I dont know who designed the fan to hit the front edge of the front compartment and then the rest to hit the hood, but it's beyond me. Are there anyone selling complete hoods ready to be painted that are good? I dont know if the Warber hoods are still out these days or if there are any other options. I'd rather stay away from just buying hood vents and fiberglassing, would like to find something virtually that just needs to be painted. Or if anyone else has any other solutions, I'm interested. It seems my Aluminum 3 core radiator cools just about the same as my stocker, which I find kind of displeasing.

Any ideas would be great.

Thanks.

Check this out -> http://www.fierosound.com/m...iator%20Area%20Vents

Looks easy enough and is nice and hidden.

Just realized, I think this is fierosound's car. Had the link saved and didn't realize where it came from!

Exactly. One other thing though. The Fiero engine bay is very poorly ventilated. You really need to wrap your exhaust manifolds and Y pipe with header wrap. The pipes are stainless steel and will not rust. It will cut down the apparent heat a whole lot. You can do this without adding ventilation or fans or the like.

Hope this helps.

I put a low temp fan switch and low temp thermostat in mine, runs super cool all the time.

Yes Rodney's switch and thermostat is a really good idea. I run 180* with a 195* fan switch.
