Hello - I wanted to introduce myself, I am new to this website and a new Fiero owner. I have wanted a Fiero for quite a few years and last Friday we picked up a 88 Formula. This one owner car had been treated to a pampered life in a nice garage and no Michigan winter driving. Looking forward to many summertime road trips this year!
What a great site, thank you.

That looks beautiful! You got one hell of a car... most of use start off with something much less desirable! That being said the Formula is my favorite fiero and why I built my formula clone. Got everything but the spoiler and to be honest I like it without.
Thank you for the replies and the compliments on the car. I found this one on Craigslist over in the north Detroit suburb of Troy, MI. The guy I bought it from took delivery of the car from the dealer 12/87 and kept it until last Friday when I picked it up. There aren't many people out there these days that hang on to a car that long and it really surprised that he would sell it.
This is a low option car, base radio/no tape player, no sunroof, no power windows/locks or cruise. I received all of the paperwork in a dealer folder, factory warranty and pre-delivery checklists. I have started replacing some original items under the hood like the plugs, plug wires and cap/rotor. These parts really helped the 2.8 run much better, but I am still having some hard starting issues when the engine is warm. I assume it is nothing major, just a 22 year old car needing a little tuning TLC.
Dan, we live real close to each other.....I am half way between Portage and Vicksburg, about 1 mile north of Indian Lake. We need to meet up and talk about our toys!
say friend i sent you a PM. i only post this because it took me months to figure what them sounds was every time i logged in.i had no idea i had people sending me these PM's i have read about early on. so since you are new i thought i would give a heads up. you probablly already have a million of them with that shiney little gem you have. looks like he did not drive as many miles as you state. nice. Dan
