If you don't care if the engine gets ruined, then drive it all you want. But be prepared for it to die. And baby it...

Sure, you can drive it, just remember it like a grenade with a faulty timer that could trigger at any time!!! Keep some change in your pocket for a phone call, or better yet have a cell on you.

Note: STP or anything else is not going to stop the knock.

Awe...

It's already ruined, the only thing STP might do is make it quieter.

It's not really much of an option...

Who knows how long before the engine seizes?

A week? You're only delaying the inevitable, which will end up causing even more difficulty to repair.

If you need wheels for basic transportation, don't rely on an old falling apart Fiero.

Get a beater.

and it might not be a bad idea to stop beating on your only mode of transportation like you've stolen it.

i mean, I like getting on a car a lot myself, but, I usually have a spare...

If pulling an engine is no problem for you, how about you drop the pan and change the bearings?

STP might give you another week.

yes, you can. tho I'd really suggest at least dropping the oil pan, and putting in a new bearing.
even with the crank & rod damage, the $3 spent will go alot further.
and - dont forget to drain the existing oil & filter - being they are loaded with ground up crank & bearing.

how long any of this will last is completely unknown. and the carnage of the failure is as well.

If your actually thinking about going the quad 4 route I would suggest the 2.4 twincam LD9 from the later cavalier z24's among other cars as well, its more or less a much more reliable version of the quad 4 while it makes less then the quad 4 h.o. out of the box its equally receptive to boost and theres plenty over 400 whp on the jbody forums.
