Well I came across this pic via google. It appears to be a wheelstander. Anybody have any info on this car? I searched and found nothing here.

It's a wheelstander, most setups have the rear mounted motor backwards like that. Its not that abnormal. Get all the weight high and to the rear. I'll do some more diggin see if I can find anything.

Mmmmm. I wonder if he still retains the stock gas tank? If not why does he have the gas tank filler

Cordially,

I'm sorry but this just sickens me. Do you have any idea what I could have done to my car if I spent the kind of money that person spent? You can bet that if I do my car will at least be functional and not basically for conversation value. I'll never understand why people spend obscene amounts of money to take something functional and make it non-functional. Sorry guys, not to trash anyone.

You have no idea what this guys story is. Besides some of the money these wheelstander guys bring in to do shows is worth it. In the same note why do people build 1500hp drag cars to go in a straight line? 1 persons pleasure is anothers pain. That's life.

Besides, who's to say that the owner didn't salvage a wrecked car and saved it from the crusher?

You're right I don't know him/her or their story. If you notice I didn't make a single personal comment about them. My comment was about my opinion of how wasteful it seems TO ME that people do things like that. I just think people have very strange priorities. Nothing but my opinion, just like I personally don't like tomatoes. That doesn't mean that everyone that does is bad or wrong, but I'll be quick to say something if you ruin my food by putting stuff I don't like in there.

It appears they changed the harmonic balancer and mounted a fuel tank in front of the engine in the second pic.

Funny you posted that, a friend of Capt's just drew this up as a joke. Looks really cool. Seeing as the car is actually going to look like this, just without the wheelie bar or chute.

Actually in the first pic it looks like there is a black plastic fuel cell in front of the motor switched to the aluminum in the second pic.

Pretty neat looking. I bet the guy makes some decent paydays running that for shows.

I came across that photo last weekend, and was hoping to dig up some info. Glad this came up. I'd love more details on the engine....

Most wheelstanders have plexi-glass windows along the floorboards. Anyone see this thing up close, or does the driver steer by weather patterns? :P
