Hey everyone! I'm not sure about this so I figured I'd get some other opinions. The pictures below are of my engine cradle were one of the welds broke, In between the rear cradle mount and the inner tie rod mount. I was thinking that I could just bend it back in place and reweld it?? Do you guys think this will work or that it will cause an issue?? Thanks Everyone!

Should be able to weld it together fine, I would also bridge a plate over it and weld that over the break.

How did that come apart in the first place ?

Clean her up and weld it back together. As Mike says, add some metal for reinforcement. Hard to tell from the pics but it looks like the factory weld failed and let the monut pull away from the cradle. There is a lot of pressure on that mount - especially while taking it through the twisties. I'd look over the rest of the monuts on the cradle and reweld/reinforce them too. It may be one of those "Friday" cradles! You know? The last one built just before quitting time on a Firday!
