has anyone ever attempted to put C5 Coervette wheels on a Fiero? they are 18" and 17" staggered. Don't know if an adapter is even made. have a set and picking up another firebird, an '88 GT 5-speed. Curious if it can be done. Thanks

A few have done it... other than bolt-on adapters the front hubs on the 88s are large enough they can be redrilled. The rear hubs on all Fieros are too small to be redrilled, but you can either replace the hubs or weld on an adapter with the correct bolt pattern, (5 x 4.75")

I would love to do it someday as the Corvette wheels are nice and a lot cheaper than custom HREs.

Or you could just go to Erik at HT Motorsport and buy brand new hubs drilled for any bolt pattern you want.

True, but I haven't tested the system out on the fronts- only in the rears using HRE for $500

I went back during my posting so bare with me. I needed to remove the 5x100 hub and test the Corvette hub;

It took me 15-minutes looking for this:

I needed replacement pads for the emergency brake anyway, so what the heck.

Baer rotor seems to fit (although I may purchase Wilwood rotors)

Test #2 front HRE 19x8.5 on the rear using Held/Lee/Eric hubs.

As expected; if I were to use the fronts on the rear I'll have problems clearing the spring thus a 10" spring would be needed.

Pretty much flush with the body.

Not bad using black center wheels for a change;

At least I know "all is good" using the Corvette hub. I need test the front hub now.
