I agree it is the unlikely of the treo...but they may be talking about crumple zones and the Fiero does have a nice empty front bay with a 5 star crash rating.
I wonder if they (the TV show) would consider just leasing two identical Fieros for their show. Of course, that would mean they'd go back to the original owners at the end of shooting. $2,600 would just about cover the cost of me transporting two of mine, (88s) out west and I think I'd enjoy a break. Of course, that depends on just how long they intended on keeping the cars.
I'm sure this would work out better if someone on the left coast could do it but, it's an idea.
Bump for a better idea.

My first intuition was that it was gonna be mythbusters. Say it aint so! We dont need people blowing up/smashing/burning/ etc.. any more fieros. They're hard enough to find as it is.
If you could confirm for us that the show in question is NOT Mythbusters, you might get some people to consider it. Then again, $1300 for a running V6 Fiero is a pretty good deal, they typically sell for $1500 and up from what I've always seen, except maybe the 85 SE's.

The person from the show said they planned to modify the cars, not blow them up. The concept sounded really cool.

The person from the show asked me not to say what show it is. Sorry, dude, just respecting their wishes.
BTW, they've delayed this show, so the deadline is extended.

I don't want to see a Fiero on any show. They will either destroy, make fun of, or cause more demand for them and that will make it harder for us to purchase future cars. We lost over 60 Fieros to cash for clunkers already. When they are gone, they are gone.
It looks to me like.. Fiero owners (That care for there cars) Not going to let there car go for a Cheap price.. If they dont know what there going to do to them. I dont blame them. I always wanted one. Now I got one you could not pry it from my cold dead hands. Even if I cant drive it yet..

I wouldn't be helping them if I thought what they were going to do was a bad thing.
