Yeah. It's been posted a bit before.

Motorweek's take on the car is quite favorable for the Fiero compared to other publications at the time. The general consensus among these automotive publications were that you were probably better off in the MR2 because it was all around faster and a better performer, but as the video points out you could have a loaded Fiero Formula or GT quite affordably compared to a stock supercharged MR2. It's likely that ultimately the cost factor turned more to the Fiero. You can't knock that 4-AGE supercharged engine in that MR2 though - it's for sure quite a combination.

I've owned a few Fieros, but never a AW11 MR2 (although I've driven a few). I hope to own one (N/A or supercharged) along with the Fiero one day.

I've had a mk1 MR2 in the past (well the wife has) as well as my current Fieros. I think the MR2 is a more refined car and it certainly moves on the road but for a big guy like me (6' 5") the Fiero wins out because I can actually get in and out of it with some sort of style. Exiting the MR2 was a 'crawling on hand and knees' experience. Hard to look cool like that

Very prophetic words at the end of that video!

I'm actually not a huge fan of the first generation MR2's. People always criticize the Fiero for being pieced together but styling wise the Fiero wins hands down. Hard to believe there was such a big price difference on these cars back then. A few thousand was a huge amount of money then.

If I was to ever look for an MR2, it would definitely be the second generation one. I love the styling on those! We have a gorgeous yellow one near by where we live and I admire it every time I drive by.
