seems like theyre all on stretched chassies, just wondering theres a place down here in Florida that has them in stock, it comes in two pieces front and back pieces
look at the stick in front of the wheel "brake" lol
The third car I know for sure is a stretched Fiero. I know because the car won a few awards in 2007 and I recognize it. The first one looks to be stretched as well, but is based on an earlier Diablo design. The black one looks to be a stretched 6.0 Diablo rebody.
Yes pretty much every Diablo rebody in existence has to be stretched. There used to be a few non-stretch ones, and I've seen one in person, but the wheel base difference is far too great to try and modify a stretch body to fit a non-stretch Fiero.

If you didn't stretch the frame/body the Diablo style would look quite odd.

It does look very odd. I wish I had photos of the one non-stretch I did see. It looked very much like a Diablo from the front and rear, but when you got to the doors the sail window looked like something from a Testarossa. All the windows were tinted pitch black. The doors were also considerably smaller to make up for the eleven inches missing in the wheelbase, as I imagine it would have been very difficult to place the doors further into the body near the rear wheels...
EDIT!!!!! : Apparently, EuroworksLTD at one point reproduced Mirage X's http://www.euroworksexotics...gex_PhotoGallery.htm , which are non-stretch Diablo bodies. You can see by the photo gallery though how different they look from the real thing - just look at the very first picture of the two silver ones.
Do note that the Mirage X is no longer in production, but does show that there should be some non-stretch Diablos floating around out there.

Umm... 'drifting' and 'Fiero' should never be used in the same sentence
The actual stretch process isn't too bad, but if you do have to have somebody do it it can cost a pretty penny. You can make the stretch as structurally sound as any normal frame if it's done correctly.

I've drifted a stock GT before... it's not as responsive as an rx7 for the turns and the drifts are a lot harder to pull off... but... it is possible. Personally i think i was an idiot to even try it with a fiero in the first place. Never again.

Only tried it once. I will never try it again.

Chassisworks makes a tube frame for the diablo. It can be modified to fit the murcielago. So no, you don't have to stretch the fiero, but if you use a fiero tub with front and back tube frames it will be easier to register. Nice ride Switta!
I don't know who it is in Florida that you are looking to by the body kit from, but if it is Kitcarman, run the other way and find somewhere else to buy one from.
