You have to cut it out with either a hot knife windshield tool or windshield wire or piano wire using a sawing motion.

also if you are trying to do it without breaking it, your probably gonna be better off getting help from someone that knows how so you dont crack it.

I have a parts car you can come practice on The last guy I had cut out a windshield used one of these on the top and sides then he used a flat knife on the bottom from the inside.
Helps if you have the dash out.

Took him about 30 minutes to replace my windshield.

Thats the same tool I have and it works great. Just take your time and don't pry upwards. Let the blade do the cutting.

they are nice but people that have never used one tend to get in a rush and chip/crack the glass

Since you are in Florida, wait till a REALLY hot day and face the car into the sun. once its good and hot SLOWLY push the window out starting with the top. I have got 3 windshields from Pull and Pay this way and I'm in Colorado ! but i'm 8000 feet closer to the sun I guess

My "extra light" E string on my Fender Flame Elite works great for cutting out the screen...have some one help you on the other side on a hot day help you saw through the perimeter if you don't feel confident in your self doing it alone ..

After removal be sure to sand down the edges of the screen with a 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper to prevent stress risers ( small chips on the edges ) from creating a crack

I've heard to use 80# test monofiliment fishing line. That way you don't have the rough edges of a standard "cutter". HOT day is a BIG plus. Guitar string sounds like a good idea. Another SMOOTH surface. I've used cable with mixed results. I will let you know on the fising line next Monday. I am pulling out a windshield. Good luck.

My glass guy sits on the console and puts his feet on it, one on passenger side and one on drivers side and kicks. New ones are so cheap, why bother with trying to save it. When they put one in that molding didnt stay in a few months later, they still busted out the new one to put another in with the right seal. So its not even worth trying to get out a fairly new one for the glass co.

From another thread:

The Safelite glass guy uses this tool along the bottom of the windshield inside the car.
