Anyone buy products from RCC Specialty parts ? http://www.rccspecialty.com/fiero.html

They make tubular control arms that use coil overs front and rear (carrera coil overs) and offer brake upgrade kits including corvette upgrades ...

I'm looking at ordering their tubular control arms with poly bushings ... not bad prices..

here's the link, let me know your opinions on them, or if ANYONE else has better prices or values .. i'm looking at completely redo-ing the suspension in the next few months ...

I've got no serious complaints, so far. Though the front shocks could be longer, it bottoms out too much. Front has limited travel. I am looking at ditching the 5" Carrera shocks for a set of 7" Afco threaded body shocks- other work is required for them to fit hence not jumping into it yet. Only suggestion is to watch potholes and curbs. They tend to bend a bit easier than the factory control arms, but they are still plenty strong for daily use. I pulled them off my 87 GT, going a bit further with that car, and I'll put on the other 87 GT, so I'll eventually do a thread about installing them, along with the 11.25 brakes and HPP sway bars...

So you have the RCC tube arms ?

Have pics you could show us ?

They're suppose to be stronger and light .... and you're saying they're more flexible then the pressed arms ?

Is the 5" spring not long enough for your since it's adjustable? what size tires do you plan on running and how low does your car sit ?

Sorry if these are just a bunch of questions, i'm just trying to pre-plan my build.

I am also looking into redoing my suspension/brakes. (bump for more reviews)
I was going to go with the Tubular rear arms from RCC and the widetrack front from Held to match the fender wells in my kit. Coilovers front and back. 315 width rear tires.

Topher: What are you using your car for? Just a DD or autocross too?

Yes, I have the arms.

No pictures to show yet as I do not have them installed on a car at the moment. They were pulled off one for a more aggresive suspension set-up, and these will be going on the step-daughter's car.

They are lighter than factory, they also do not take punishment well, no give in them. I had to re-weld one of the bushing sleeves and straighten a tube after bouncing off a curb and guard rail. A factory control arm would have taken the hit better as it is one piece, not multiple pieces welded together.

The 5" shocks are short, so the suspension travel is limited, if you hit a good pothole or travel a bit fast over speed hump, it will bottom out.

The tire sizes are front 225/45zr17 and rear 245/45zr17. The car will be lowered 2 inches all around. 1" taller balljoint and 1" adjustment on the coilover. Rear is just a progressive rate lowering spring.

Deals Gap, track days, auto-x. It will probably be trailed everywhere. It's street useability will be killed with the engine swap I have planned.
