That stamp was probably when it was inspected by whom ever made that part, not when it was put in the car.

I have seen where cars are not made in sequential order. The cars can be pulled off the line for inspection, flaw or the order was placed later because parts to match RPO was not available etc. Just in Time ordering for parts I believe is what they use to call it.

At this point all of the registries that I know of are only available to the person collection the information. There is work being done that might bring the information together at a single web site but that is still something for the future. The biggest thing that needs to be done is to collect as much information as we can. Once the information is gathered then it can be used. Right now with as few entries as there are in the 87 Registry it can't produce much information.

I have an 87 se v6 sitting in the garage. I will dig out the info and send it to ya.
