Who is the dirty rotten no good suminabirchin fargin icehole that designed this stinking Throttle Body coolant line? This is the poorest low life design I have ever had the displeasure to work on. Give me the guys name and if he is still alive, I'm going to pay him a visit. OK I feel better now!

I spent the better part of today building a braided stainless flex line setup to replace this peice of crap. Will test it this week, If it works, I will post pics and a DIY for those of you that hate thie junk as much as I do. It will make taking the TB off a 3 minute job and 5 putting it back on.

Why not just delete it? Since you live in a warm climate, the TB heater lines are useless anyway.

lol - yup - thats what the rest of us do.
loop it at the thermostat housing - or - modify the housing to remove the nipples
remove the lines
insert plugs/blanks - or leave the open holes - on the throttle body
the holes are standard size/thread, and plumbing blanks fit nicely

I did exactly that on the 86. This car I want to keep as close to stock as possible and I wanted to see if I could make it work. After messing with it most the day yesterday, I have determined that it is not worth the hassle and it will be "deleted" this evening.

Here is how. Use the rubber hose on the water neck to loop around and close off the lines.

That's what I did as well... and then I used a dremel to cut the tubes off the mount for the MAP sensor and ground down the unneeded portion, painted it and reinstalled it to keep the MAP in its original place.
