Spent some time this morning cleaning up the GT. Fixing paint chips, waxing, etc. Feels like a whole new car after a good bath!

Interesting shifter area cover on the console. You make that ?

And did you paint the dash top, or did it come grey on top and bottom?

Nice GT!

What I would like to know is, where did you get that grill in front of the mouth? That looks sharp.
EDIT: Just noticed the for sale sign in the window. How much are you lookin' to get for it?

The dash is stock.
The center console I make. Not too hard. It uses the stock surround with a pegboard inlay that I cut out for the shifter and PW controls. Then I just covered it with grey headliner material..
The billet grill I also made using some stock aluminum. It is two pieces that I mounted from the back of the front facia. Cost me around $15.
Not really any performance mods. The PO put in Poly bushings. I added an 84 shifter, wheels, poly dog bone. and tinted the tails.

Yes, it is for sale. Make an offer!

I also forgot to mention that I am in Sweetwater, TX. A little closer to you if you are interested.

I'm not entirely interested in the car itself. Was just wondering what you were looking to get for it. Apologies.

But heck, if you ever decide to produce that grill or make a few more of them, I wouldn't mind buying one.

No problem. This wasn't a post to sell it, just showing it off.
As far as the grill, I will most likely make a few more. I will have the gauge bezels done in a few (both speedo/tach surround and aux). I am covering them just like my center console.

All the 88's are looking good gents....Another local one in the mix.....

Frizle's 88

88 2M8

I'm always amazed at how modern these cars look even after 20 years. And an afternoon of detailing makes them feel new again.

Not me Chane - just too far for a weekend run. If it were somewhere like Fredericksburg, I'd make that trip.....

Fredericksburg is around 4hrs from here. I go there a few times a year and always see car gatherings. Last time out, there where mini-coopers everywhere.

Ruidoso is around 4hrs the other way AND has a casino. Maybe close enough to get some out of AZ?

The rattle snake roundup would be sweet for me! I am 5 minutes away. Maybe even Clovis, Albuquerque, Hobbs, Odessa?

A Ruidoso run would be fantastic. The road from Cloudcroft to Ruidoso is very fun in a Fiero.....just watch out for B.I.A. cops. Haven't had the Fiero up there in a while. Fall weather is perfect for it....and there's always that casino thing An overnighter at Inn of the Mountain Gods would be most excellent.

Hmmmm....maybe we could do a lunch run to Cloudcroft this coming weekend. What days are you off? I'm of Friday and Saturday....could do it either day. I need to drive the GT...it hasn't been out of the garage in a month. We might even be able to talk some of the other guys into going. If you're interested, I can email Jan, Rick, and Jeff.

My daughter is turning 2 this Saturday. Don't think I can get away this weekend. Would anyone be up for a midland/odessa meet sometime down the road?

Sure...haven't been there in ages. Any reason to get these cars out on the road is good enough for me. ABQ would be good too...A cruise up to Cedar Crest and then Santa Fe would be great. Wouldn't mind spending a weekend up there. We would just need some advance notice to get everything planned.
