A 2M4 beating a Delorean- I don't think so! The 2.8L V6 maybe. A 3800SC , 4.9L, LS4, Northstar, 3400DOHC, SBC and it won't even be close

The delorean is close to the same weight as the GT. you have about 100 pounds less in the GT so if they both made the same HP in the 2.8 power plants the GT would win by a very tiny margin.
I'm guessing the red paint slowed down the DMC so that it was easily passed.

You know honestly my 86 GT would give my DeLorean a good run for its money. I really don't know what car would win the race. But I can say for sure if it was a 3800SC Fiero or V8 it would stomp the DeLorean instantly.

I guess the only thing you can do now is a engine swap on your DeLorean!
