Bought a used L67 a few weeks ago from Morad. Motor arrived missing a couple of advertised accessories and had a stripped alt bracket. PMed black88fiero (who works for Ed Morad) about the problem. Missing parts and new alt bracket were shipped next day. Now that's the difference between a junk yard and a top notch parts supplier. Any other "yard" would have laughed at me said that's what you get when you buy a used motor. So I wanted to say that Bill, Eric and black88fiero of Ed Morad Parts Company are real and honest individuals. I won't hesitate to buy from this professional crew in the future.
Oh I forgot to add that the parts were initially shipped in a box on the pallet but were forked off by the shipping company who later returned that box. Thats why I never received my invoice with the pallet because it was in the box.

I knew Ed when he was in construction and was playing with the salvage business. We talked over him quitting his job and doing this full time. I told him to hang on to his job until he was sure and that Fieros were the up and coming 3800 SC swap. I bought parts from him and he was miffed about seeing this engine in a Fiero as he never heard of anything like that back then. He has since moved from his shop that I posted pictures of in the beginning to drum up business with 3.8SC and is now on his way to another warehouse. Amazing how some things can take off like this did for Ed. Every time I visit his shop he is running around getting shipping items ready. I remember when he was by himself and looking for a worker and today has a handful of guys working under him. Back then he was always worried he may have made a mistake leaving his job for this. That first year was nerve racking for him but he stuck with it. I still don’t know how he does it and want to make sure everyone knows he is a hard dedicated worker for the 3800's and now LSX motors. He also races for Intense and did that before he started this business. Thanks Ed and crew

I recommend Ed every chance I get. Not only will he sell you quality parts but he will take your phone calls and answer question even after the sale. He helped me tremendously with my re-do (see link in sig). He even put together a cruise control "kit" for me and sold it to me at a great price. Thanks Ed.
I'd say that Ed is one of the good guys as he gives good service, delivers promptly and descibes his offerings accurately. However, Ed's also one of the most expensive sources, especially so for high mileage engines and parts such as wiring harnesses. Look at Ed's prices for well worn/well used 3800SC high mileage engines that he sells on eBay. Ed trys to sell them for around $1200+ shipping (add $250) but perhaps some idiots are paying these prices! A 100K+ miles engine ( especially when we don't know how often the owners changed the oil, raced it or took care of it) is not a good foundation for a high performance engine and at $1200 is IMO a risk and a BAD DEAL. If someone wants to buy and have delivered a potential "boat anchor" for $1450 they have every right to do so but sales like these raise serious questions about the moral character of the seller.

I paid $899 plus $175 shipping to Oklahoma. There is 114,000 miles on my motor. I know that's high mileage and a roll of dice. I called around all of the local yards and they wanted between $600 to $1500 for motors over 100,000. Motors under 100,000 they wanted anywhere from $1500 to $3000. Not much luck around here. My cousin works for a major used parts company (all of central and east coast network). He could definitely get me a low mileage (50,000 to 70,000) motor for around $650. Problem is all these motors he offered also showed up in car-parts.com and such. They all say things like "engine fire" and "no supercharger". So I opted for Morad because my motor came with a guarantee that it sounded good when pulled and the supercharger bearings were good. Other thing is by the time I purchased my car-parts.com motor and added the supercharger, wiring harness, PCM, and all of the burnt up sensors I would be getting into some money and still have to roll the dice. Point is everything is going up in price and dealing with a company that stands behind their sales is worth paying a bit more for in my case. I believe with this in mind Ed's prices aren't all that out of line. Of course if you search well and are patient (I'm not) you can find that low mileage motor for a great price.

Engine fire motors are the best, I have used 2 blowers found in engine fires without issue. Most of the engine fires found in gtp's were not really bad, and the motor gets saved from alot of the heat.
I would look elsewhere for a few of the throttle body sensors and such, from what I have seen the fuel rail and injectors make it out alive.

Ed wouldnt sell anyone a junk motor. He stands behind his parts. I am sure he would make good on any deal he made. I have never heard of a single person that got screwed and I know a lot of people with grand prix that have had plently of dealings with him. How many used parts places can you say that about?

Wow now. Lets clear the air. My comment was made to say that values goes down as mileage goes up, hence only an idiot would pay a top price for a high mileage engine that is unknown. You didn't pay top dollar so I agree that it was worth taking a chance on the roll of the dice. I believe that Dark has a higher mile engine too but he didn't fork over $1299 + $250 shiiping either for the 108K 3800SC that Ed Morad just sold. Darks entire swap cost less than that. Don't ask me how he does it but apparently he does.

Ok, I see what your saying. Thanks for the clarification. Air cleared.
