Try Greyhound. They are relatively cheap. A bumper cover should be less than $100. I would wrap it very well in some padding and mark it all over as fragile.

Do they deliver to an address or does it require drop off and pick up at a grayhound station?
Thanks

To ship greyhound you have to take it to a station, and they would have to pick it up from a station. The thing I didn't like about greyhound though is that they will not alow you to insure what you send unless it is bubble wrapped and then wrapped in paper. They would not insure my front bumper unless it was packaged like so.

You might check a motor freight line too. You can get a box from an auto dealership parts department / body shop when they get new parts. I had a friend send a hood for a Charger to Fl from here, boxed for $250.

I guess I should add that it still only cost me $40 to ship the front fascia (I believe the quote was substantially more) but it was still a hassle that I wasn't expecting.

You can just put bubble wrap around a bumper cover and it shouldn't cost more than $30.

If you aren't in a big hurry to ship the bumper, perhaps you could ask around to see if anybody is going from point A to point B with some extra space.

I have a price of 150.00 to ship fed ex.
Buyer has agreed.
I have to locate a box, looking at the body shops. Tucson is small and I am located on the northern outskirts so it is a 15 mile ride down to "auto row" to look for a box. Timing is everything, and I missed several by a few days.
I thank all of you for the post, I never would have thought of Greyhound!

What do you guys think a mint front hood is worth- white- needs only a wax and ready to go?

Either rising fuel prices have caused shipping to go through the roof, or Fed Ex is robbing your buyer. The economy is really going to go in the toilet if that's what it costs to ship a bumper cover now.

I have a Fed Ex account. Online I inserted the weight around 28 pounds boxed, and the dimensions 18 x 29 x 58 and that is what ground is from Tucson AZ to Illinois.
Yes freight is nutz, and will place a dent in the economy.

It is time to build nuclear power plants and generate electricity without burning fossil fuels, and to drill for oil in the U.S. Our Navy has run on nuclear since the early 50's without incident, we can handle it! We better drill for natural gas with intensity as well since industry is highly dependent on nat gas to produce glass, steel and numerous other products. Some auto manufactures are having their glass made in Brasil (I think it is) due to the much lower cost of natural gas.

This last Congress has done nothing to improve our energy situation. Approval rating is 9%, worst in the history of the United States. Great time to vote their a$$es out in November.

I suppose lots of folks hate Big Oil but if they did not produce fuels our Fieros would be pushcarts.

Rant over.
