Well I ordered a new ABS headliner from the Fiero store. I did not get a shipping conformation so I called them to see what went wrong.
The woman on the phone told me that my order was placed and I will have it in 10 days or so. I promptly informed her that their web page say’s IN STOCK NOW. She informed me that IN STOCK NOW really means they can get them made and that they can not possibly stock all the variations.
So I ended the call with YOU need to CHANGE the wording on your site!
I have ordered from them in the past with no issues. But this is BS! Now I have to wait for 10 days plus to sell my car!
This is just FYI so you don’t get screwed like I did.

I too, ordered a replacement headliner from The Fiero Store. Ordered it on a Saturday morning, along with some other products. The lady on the phone promised it would ship in 6 to 10 days. It arrived by UPS, in just under two weeks, and I live in Canada.
Mine was the sunroof model, in Light Saddle, no brake light. I thought that was pretty quick, considering International shipping, across pretty much the entire continent, to Alberta. Haven't put it in yet, as I broke something in my clutch, the following Tuesday, a week ago.
Had my Fiero ('85 SE 2M6) towed to the local Pontiac Dealer, where the head mechanic and Shop Foreman. happens to be my best buddy. He also just won the Grand Master Techicians Guild Gold Award, for Alberta, about a month ago. The mechanic he assigned the job to, thought the entire clutch needed a redo. I ordered a cast iron clutch arm, from The Fiero Store, on a hunch, a week ago Thursday, got it this Tuesday, and they installed it and had it back to me just after noon, yesteday, good as new. The original stamped clutch arm, broke and bent next to the pinch bolt, where it mounts to the clutch fork rod.
I was going to install the new headliner this weekend, but it's been raining for 4 days (doesn't do that much here, we live in kind of a desert), and I discovered the sunroof weatherstrip does indeed leak. I have had the car since February, and never saw a leak, after running through the car wash, or testing it with a hose.
So I will order a new weatherstrip tomorrow, and do the front brake rotors, and pads, if the rain stops.

Patience Daniel-san I got mine about two months ago. It took about a week and a half but well worth the wait. The box they ship it in is huge!

I have been buying from them since 96' for parts for all my fiero's and maybe you don't know this but there building is not that large to hold everything they have, heck they have trailers with parts in them because they don't have the room.
I ordered a light gray headliner from them back a couple months ago. And Matt told me it comes right from the company that makes them. also so does there carpet kits come straight from ACC to you.
Just take a deep breath and sit back and relax.
like others have said it well worth the wait for it. I'm very happy with mine and waiting for it.

10 days for a custom order to be delivered is an excellent turn around time. If you don't like it, cancel your order and ask for a refund. I'm sure someone else will buy it from them. Be glad they are around and selling stuff for our 20+ year old cars. The Fiero store has a real good reputation of keeping their customers satisfied and will bend over backwards to do so. I'm sure I could get many people here, who have bought stuff from them, to testify to this fact. Your idea of "in stock" and theirs may not be the same. They probably meant available for order. They don't make any of the parts they sell, their suppliers do. They probably have to order a certain amount of the items before their suppliers will ship to them. You should have asked them when the item would ship to you. Their website is not updated in "real" time and some items may not be available at the time of your order. As with any seller, if you aren't satisfied, find someone else to sell you what you want. Good luck finding one though.

I would like to know how in stock became custom ordered?????
The woman on the phone told me that they don’t stock these…..
I can order anything on the planet for my 20+ year old Corvette… without it being a custom order…
The real issue is I had to call them….they could have sent me an e-mail telling me that it had to be ordered or there will be a lead time for it. Instead they let me hang and I had to call to see what happened.
This is the same mentality that is putting people out of business every day.

A lot more money in Vettes. FieroStore is doing a good job of balancing out providing us with quality products quickly, and not purchasing more on-hand stock than they can sell.
The description of the "DARK SADDLE ABS HEADLINER w/o SUNROOF & w/ 3rd BRAKE LIGHT" says: " Due to the increase in spring sales, please allow 3-5 weeks for delivery. "

Don't know how long you have been into Fieros, but in case you haven't noticed there is a world of difference between a Corvette and a Fiero. One has been in production for over 50 years and has a huge and dedicated following. The other is a bastard child of a Chevette and a Citation and is barely kept alive by a small but dedicated group of enthusiasts.
You are not going to make any friends on this board pissing and moaning about the Fiero Store. For certain parts they are the only game in town. It's not like we can just break out the Summit, Jegs or Eckler's catalog and find everything we need.

Dude, let it go. You ever go to their R&D page? There's 3 stages: on the drawing board, in manufacturing, and in stock. Well, the headliners are done being manufactured so they're in stock. Just because it takes longer to ship because they're selling them as fast as they're being made doesn't mean you got "screwed over." Just be patient. And don't worry they're not going out of business anytime soon. They're the only game in town as far as Fiero owners go while GTO, Camaro, and Firebird owners have Year One, Ames, etc.
Fierostore hasn't disappointed me yet and I've been a loyal customer for 10 years.

Wow! I did not know that! And I absolutely have nothing but good things to say about the Fiero Store. In addition to being the only game in town for a lot of Fiero parts, they have always supported the Coast Run and lots of other Fiero shows. 10 days is nothing to complain about. Even on eBay the seller has 10 days to ship you something that you buy from them used.
