All,
Have a great story. I was dropping my son off at church last night when one of the members was backing his 3/4 Chevy 4x4 and didnt see me. He backed into the passanger side door/mirror. We both got out and the only thing that was wrong with mine was one of the mirror mounts had broke off. The bumper on his truck had push back into the bed and made a crease in the bed plus dented the bumper. I told him no harm done , went home, removed the door panel and put in another bolt. Only place there is a scratch is the mirror itself and a small place on the door. Got to love these cars!!

Back in 2001 I was taking my son to school one morning when another not so bright student in a raised S-10 pickup changed lanes in front of me and stopped. Needless to say I hit him from behind but the rest of the story is what is interesting. I went under his truck and hit his rear diff, the rear spring perches let go, pushing the engine and trans out the front of his truck into the trunk of the Cadillac in front of him. His truck was TOTALLED! The tow truck driver lifted the truck off of my car and I drove my car home. The cops could not believe there was no damage to anything critical. His exhaust pipe put a hole in my front facia as did his dropped hitch. I replaced the hood and the bar behind the facia and it was all fixed in a couple of hours. When the insurance agent came by to take pictures he could not believe I had fixed the car and demanded to see the damaged parts. He compared the VIN to the accident report to make sure I wasn't pulling some kind of fast one and went away shaking his head.

Unfortunately, my '86 wrestled with my 1 ton Chevy dually the other day....and lost. I was jump starting the Fiero and afterwards went to move my truck. OOPS! I forgot to close the passenger door of the car and it was resting against the tire on my truck. Didn't do major damage, but broke a piece off the outer skin of the door, and bent the edge of the door out. Not a big deal, there just happened to be an SE at the salvage yard I go to, so I went and yanked a new door the next day.
