If it goes for that price, then I would consider it a deal, but it does need lots of TLC. But then I'm not sure if it's real since it's actually listed in 2 auctions.

They were a $50K+ car when new. They are an interesting car, The Zimmer Car company is now under new ownership in Syracuse, NY now. This particular one needs lots of TLC (Mr Mikes seats and other interior work). They never were a big seller as with many of the other Zimmer styled cars. A curiosity car for a collector keeping in mind the rarity of the car and spare parts.

Here it is on ebay USA. Ventura, Ca., United States US $5,924.10 Feedback: 99.0% Positive Member: since Jul-25-00 in United States Registered as a individual seller
Actually there is... There is one remaining and it is in the museum in Bowling Green. They built 43, just never sold any. But it exactly the same as the 84 anyway.
I should have been a little less vague. It was based off I think an 82, and sold in 83. I think the name was Phillips or something like that. It looked like an Excaliber.

Ack! I can't find it anywhere! It was based off the corvette chassis, and they only sold them in 83. Bach!!! two of them kind of regularly come to car shows around here too. Dang it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

By the way I think the Zimmer QS looks like a Lincoln and would have to say he took some of the designs from it. If not the front wheel drive Eldorao and Tornado of 1969 and early 70's Rick

The Zimmer is for real. I went over and saw it today. A very nice restorable car. It would need a complete restore but most of the parts are there to do it.
One thing that surprised me - I knew the Quicksilver was built on a Fiero. But I never paid much attention and always thought they jsut put a fiberglass body on a Fiero. I knew the front and rear were long but figured it was just fiberglass outside the wheel wells. It didn't take me long to figure out that the wheelbase was lengthened on this car by a couple of feet! This is a long car!

True, one peek at the front trunk shows you that the wheelbase had to grow.
