The car's acceleration is comparable to a normal internal combustion engined sports car, producing approximately 250 horsepower (180 kW), with a 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) time of "under 5 seconds" according to the 2007 press kit. Its top speed is less comparable however, at 160 km/h (100 mph), which is respectable considering that it only has one gear. It runs at a constant translation of 9.58 : 1, with a torque of 220 N·m (162 ft·lbf).

One other particular attraction of the car is that due to the electric traction motor, the full 220 N·m (162 ft·lbf) torque is available at all motor speeds including from a dead stop, as opposed to the progressive delivery of an internal combustion engined car, where full power is only available within certain RPM ranges.

The company specifies the car with a range of 250 km (combined use). The batteries are all lithium ion accumulators, offering a complete recharge in 1 hour (under 30 kW three-phase) and in 3 hours with a standard grid thanks to its onboard charger.

* The Fetish was first introduced in concept form at the 2002 Salon International de l'Auto (International Geneva Motor Show).
* The retail price for this car has dropped to €297,000 as of May 2007 (approx. US$400,000), VAT included. No sales data is available, so it is unclear if any have shipped to customers yet.
* The futuristic design of the car was done by the Parisian designers Sacha Lakic.

Sorry but I think its ugly and for $400,000... you could do alot better... like buy one of the older venturi's

Is that like a 10" sub in the middle of the dash? With the curve of the dash in front of it, that could get loud

I drove a Ford Ranger Electric for a while. The biggest weakness is batteries. It had a 30-40 mile range, but your gas bill drops a lot and your electric bill
doesn't go up that much. I sold it when I lost the motor controller, would have been $3500 to replace, then anther $8000 for batteries. Sold it and
was able to get 2 Fieros. I loved the quiet smooth electric vehicle ride. People don't hear you coming.

My kids like the 4.9 Fiero more, especially the sound of the engine.

I saw the electric Fiero for sale last month thought about it, but figured I'd pass until batteries improve a little more. If lithium Ion gets cheap enough, then
it might be a good option. Right now it would take at least $25000 of lithium ion batteries to power a vehicle. Lead acid adds at least 1000 or more pounds to a fiero. My Ranger carried over 1500 pounds of batteries. A lithium Ion electric Fiero would be great.

I saw this Fetish beauty (my opinion) at the end of "Who killed the electric car?" they showed it for 4 seconds but it caught my attention

Even at 1/4 price It's not even close to my current budget, however the technology is already out there it's just up to the auto companies to (re)start mass production to drop prices. according to that documentary the "plug-in" hybrid is the next thing to take over the market.

Back to the Fetish, it is the 1st GOOD looking electric car I've ever seen
As for the 10" sub - since the engine doesn't make much noise you gotta have a good sound system to fill the gap LOL

Have any of these actually been delivered to customers? The NMG and the Tango seem to be the only ones that are actually out on the road.

I must agree with you MC that is a very good looking car and the price IS much better

As far as electric cars go I really like the Tesla roadster. The Lotus Elise is one of my very favorite cars though.

I believe Lotus supplied tesla with some information and possibly even a chasis to start the design of the roadster.

(Hey, I waited for a Fiero to be mentioned, but it still hasn't)

The Testla and the Venturi technology is similar to the those once high priced Plasma and LCD TV screens of old...they were priced too high for your adverage person. Once the major player (Honda) makes one similar to the Testla's over-all looks/2-seater and around 30k; I'm getting one. Also, I'd like to have a electric car that adverages 500 mile range and not 220 per charge that the Testla is now getting. The Testla's 0-60 is nice under 4 seconds.
