I drive my 1987 Pontiac Fiero SE. It didn't come out of the factory as the blue. It was a burgundy red, I am painting it Yellow this winter so I am only driving a blue Fiero for a week or two more until the snow comes. LOL.
I just had to wonder because I never see them on the road. I think it great that they are not in storage since they are a low production color. I actually chose mine because of the color instead of getting an '88 and painting it to look like an '87. I figure I can always put in an '88 rear cradle.
I used to drive mine until the i blew a headgasket broke the engine, and beacme the project car. It gets driven on weekends and once in a while during the week. But mostly is parked now.
So its not beacuse its blue that i dont drive it much. ( oh, and it was the dark factory blue originally, not the lighter color that i tend to see mostly in pictures around here.. someday to be returned to that shade, unless i do that ford ranger pearl blue i saw on here the other day instead )

I have a buddy who drives his 87 se blue to work everyday in hawaii. But his work is an extra on LOST!!!!! so look for him in the pink polo his name is tom and he is a fiero nut like us.
I wish I would of found this forum before I painted mine silver. If I knew that blue was a rare color for fieros I would never painted. I would of tried to restore it to its original color, clear was messed.
Here are some before pics, when it was blue. 87 SE, V6, 5 speed getrag.

one of our locals drives his everyday, he has around 230-240,000 miles on the car just replaced the original engine/trans this year (they were both still running) me and him put a rebuilt 2.8L and getrag 5 speed in the car with some upgrades, originally it was a 2.8L automatic.
he's planning on painting it back original blue sometime soon.
