Only 19 days left to be sure you have a ticket for the Midwest Fiero Clubs Quad 4 Fiero raffle!
For only $20.00, you can win a show stopping, Quad 4 powered
Fiero SE! If your $20.00 raffle ticket entry does not win the car, 2nd place drawing
is for $1000 cold hard cash, and 3rd place drawing is for a set of Mr Mikes Leather seat
covers! ($700 value!, & you choose whatever style and options you want!). Drawing
is on September 9th, at Fierorama in Chicago at 5PM Chicago time.. You do not need to be present
to win! We will webcam the actual drawing and it will be posted on www.fierofocus.com late that night, or by early Monday morning, along with a 45 minute broadcast of the entire show! Your chance to look at all the cars, plus interviews with Fiero owners with their cars, vendors and Fiero celebrities!!

This promotion is sponsored by the Midwest Fiero Clubs and any proceeds in
excess of the cost of the prizes will be used to promote Fiero events in
2008, including the 25th anniversary show in Pontiac Michigan.

This Quad 4 Fiero has won numerous trophies at Fiero shows in the Midwest and in the Daytona show,
(best modified). The features & description for this car is too long to list
here, so go to www.fieros.us click on the line "or click here for order
form" and you will get a .pdf entry form with more pictures and a complete history of
the engineering that went into this conversion. Everyone who has seen this
car has been enthusiastic about the complete package that looks like "The
Factory Did It"

Plus, you can use Paypal to enter! Maximum of 500 tickets to be sold. (great odds!). Paypal information is at the bottom of the downloadable .pdf form. Don't forget to add a phone# contact in a paypal comment box, so we can call you from the show if we pull your winning ticket stub!

If ticket requests are received by September 4th (Tuesday) you will receive a verified, numbered ticket stub by 1st class mail. After the 4th, I will send you a scanned ticket stub showing your entry.

Thanks for your support!

Since I will be winning the car...at this point you are really only buying raffle tickets for the cash and the Mr Mikes seat covers. Please do buy them up though...I would almost feel guilty if my two tickets won both the car AND the cash.

300 tickets sold so far. Best guess, unless we have a late "surge" would be under 400, so the odds of someone having 2 tickets on 400 entries for 3 great prizes are pretty good!!!
Who knows how to calculate odds???
The car will be on display at Fierorama, and we will sell tickets on site at the show until the time of drawing (subject to the maximum of 500 tickets).

We have had several Canada purchaes, and yes, anyone can purchase tickets. If you win the car, shipping is your cost!! However I am sure if you win, arrangements can be made to offer a cash settlement subject to your approval. 2nd place cash is easy, and 3rd place Mr Mikes seat covers I am sure can be shipped at some additional expense, or again, we could consider a cash settlement with your approval.!!!!

with 400 tickets sold:
odds of winning one prize with one ticket is 1:133.3
odds of winning two prizes with two tickets is 1:26,600
odds of winning three prizes with three tickets is 1:10,586,800

with the full 500 tickets sold:
odds of winning one prize with one ticket is 1:166.7
odds of winning two prizes with two tickets is 1:41,583.3
odds of winning three prizes with three tickets is 1:20,708,500

Naturally, you raise your odds exponentially by purchasing more tickets....but here is the key statistic:
There are 200 tickets left. If you purchase all 200 of them for $4000, your odds of winning all three prizes should be 1:15.767

Since I slept thru most of my statistics class, I will NOT guarantee these stats.

Has anyone taken into account the liability issues with such a raffle? Who will be paying for the tax on the car when it is registered, would this be included with the car it will the title just be floated and listed as a "gift" to avoid the tax?

All prizes are the responsibiity of the seller to properly report. We will supply a "prize value" letter to the winners. It is up to the winner to report income.

We raffled off a car a few years ago as well so we are familiar with the liability and legaility of holding a raffle.

The car will be at Fierorama, but after the show it will be driven back to Kokomo, Indiana awaiting pick up or transportation. Kokomo is about 30-40 miles North of Indianapolis.
The car can be driven anywhere, anytime, any distance. BTW, the car just had a new AC compressor and upgraded to R-134.

I really need to win this. The owner can drop it off at my house on his way home. (I'm about 13 miles north of Kokomo.) Besides, I really need to get back into Fieros. Someone vote for me!

I have just uncovered some details that change these statistics drastically. I feel as though I have been cheated. Apparently, regardless of how many tickets are sold or how many are purchased....the odds of winning two or three prizes is ZERO...that's right...zilch, zip, nada, aught, the big goose egg.

Darn it....now how am I going to get leather seats for my new car. Hmmm....did I mention that the second ticket I bought was for my wife, not me?

The MFC board decided that if we happened to pull someone's multiple ticket purchase more than one time, the results may appear to have some impropriety in the drawing. Plus, the chances of a multiple ticket purchaser to have more than one of his tickets drawn is very remote (what would those odds be?),
Since you purchased 2 tickets, if you feel cheated in any way for your chance to win 2 prizes, we will be glad to refund your purchase of 1 or 2 tickets. Just let us know (before the drawing!)
We do appreciate you participating in the raffle!
THe first ticket drawn will be for the car, the second for the $1000.00, and the 3rd for the leather covers. Drawing is about 5PM on Sunday, September 9th, Chicago time. Results will be posted at Fieros.us and at fierofocus.com, as soon as the webmasters can get the information up on the sites. Hopefully, early Monday!

Absolutely not....the feeling cheated part was meant entirely as a joke. It is too bad that written word sometimes misses the intention since it lacks the facial gestures to go with it. Besides, I have lost track of which ticket was going to win the car.

All raffle ticket purchases should be considered a donation to charity...actually winning the prize is just a hell of a bonus if you are one of the lucky few. Now, if you would hurry up and draw this thing, then I could stop making jokes about it every couple days. I know, I know....a watched pot never boils....but if i don't watch it, I won't know when it does boil.
