I believe that the only Fieros to have a 120mph speedometer were the Fastback GT's and the Formula. I'm pretty sure all SE's had the 85 mph, though some were back-lit, like the 120 speedo.

The 120mph started with the 86 GT. I'm pretty sure all prior to that had 85mph. I know all mine did, including one 85 GT, two V6 86 SEs and two V6 85 SEs. 87 and 88 I don't know. Every stock 4 cyl I've seen had 85 mph

Interesting info eveyone. My concern was that maybe someone had switched the guage cluster and the odomter was no longer the one from the original car (the stated mileage was not accurate). Seems like it might me OK though

This is true. The 120 MPH is linked to the fastback GT and Formula.
The backlit 85 mph are one of the oddballs of the mix. There was also a sidelit 85 mph that looked like the 120 mph as it was paired with a wraparound tach. One of these days I'm going to start a thread of all the clusters I have seen. There are more models out there than you might think.

I bought one from ebay that is in KPH / mph instead of MPH / kph, and put in my base coupe. It shows 140 (KPH), sure fools some people. Think that I will change back to a regular speedo though. [img] http://us.f13.yahoofs.com/b...jpg?bfwOmqGBLnoqte12 [\img]
