Looked through the archives and found some pic's but would like to see some more.
Show them if you have them
Thanks, Steve
ps. would choose the km/h version but still undecided about the color, white or silver with blue lettering. Placed a order for the white carbon fiber with blue lettering but received a email that is was no longer available and would have to choose something else.
pps. Chose the silver with blue, see pic's in posts below

I used to have ones similar to that in blue instead of red. Yes, the HVAC lights up. Stupid Speedhut won't sell you individual pieces though. I'd like to have a blue HVAC without the rest but they will only sell complete sets.

I have some old pics of them. I should snap an updated one, since I gotta better camera now.
I love them. Currently I have a Implode Sony that is back lit red and I also have the radio surround that has "Fiero" lit in red. It's quite the sight to see at night. Very cool.
This is the old picture of the gauges lit up.
The bad thing is that this picture doesn't represent what the glow really does. This picture makes it look orange, but in fact it's a deep bright blood red. I will see if I can get an accurate one of it, but this picture will at least show you how it lights up along with the HVAC plate.
They look "updated" and "modern" in my opinion. You can custom design them. (letter style and font, colors and backgrounds, with or without emblems, etc..) Adjustable intensity/brightness. Switchable from blue to green. High quality gauge faces are die-cut very precisely.
I love em! However, some of my friends think they're "ricer".

The only problem I had was putting the needle for the gas guage back on. I filled up the gas tank then brought the car home and put the needle back on the "full" mark. You just have to be sure and WAIT until the guage SLOWLY moves the whole way up the scale before putting the needle on - this might take a little while.
How did you remove the slider button on the Hvac controller, I should be able to pull this off? (tried to but nothing happens).
One hour is long past!
Steve
yes, it should pop right off, mine did. Maybe its glued on? i'm not sure, i just pulled mine straight off. do you want me to take a photo of what it looks like off???

I got some used, well they were never installed. I only plan on using the speedo and tach. How are you attaching them? I have been thinking about thin double sided tape, something without the foam on it.
The "Euel" gage is messed up, probably why I got a good deal UnleadedEuel only

Please tell me where and how much you got these for. Are these hard to install. Do they just slip over the top and what all is necessary to install them??

I bought some from a different company off ebay and installed them about three years ago. Now they don't work most times and intermittently come on for a few minutes. I can't find any loose connections. I think I might just buy the speedhut gauges and do it all over again. Have any of you experienced anything similar to this?

You can remove the white grate (painted fiero red) from behind the gauges and paint it blue. This will get rid of the red shining through on the side of the gauges. Looks good!

I tried to paint my spare cluster once..didn't work so good.
The needles just pull off..do it gently or you could break something. As for resetting them. The speedo and tach, just turn the key to the 'ON' position and place that needle at 0, same for the temp(it'll peg on start up anyways if that hasn't been fixed) And the fuel gauge I put a piece of tape where it was, and lost the needle under the seat, forgot about it for 2 days, found it again, put it on on the tape and it reset it self to what was actually in the tank.

Good idea, I was first thinking about some black padding along the edges but the paint idea is better! Thanks

Hmmm, so painting isnt a good idea? Getting the needles off is easy but with my big thick fingers putting them back on is a pain!

I think you misunderstood me. I'm not saying to paint the gauges themselves. Behind the gauge faces is grate (for lack of a better description) it surrounds the idiot lights and gives you the red glow. Once you have the cluster apart you will know exactly what I am talking about. If you paint that blue you will lose the hints of red that come in from the side of the SpeedHut gauge faces. Like in pic 2 near the gas and temp gauges and around the odometer. It will just give it a more uniform look. Look great BTW, I will be pickup up a set of these now that I've seen pics of them.

Thanks, any tips regarding type of paint?

If I were you I would use a flat black for this application. It doesn't need to reflect any light like it usually would. I believe these speedhut gauges still require the use of the dummy lights so you dont want to unplug them. There should be six lights that illuminate the gauges which you don't need. These here...
There are also two that illuminate the aux gauges. These two on top here...
Leave the rest of the bulbs and make sure they are all good. Post up some pics when you get it done. Cant wait to see it.
EDIT: Come to think of it you could probably remove the one for the HVAC controls also. No idiot lights there.
If your going to remove the light dont even bother painting it. Wont be necissary.
