Well, just when I think I have found the rims I want I see more styles I like. I honestly don't know how someone decides on which rims to buy as there are so many nice styles. I think I am going to stop looking and decide on one the these styles. Which ones do you think will look the best on a black fastback?

i think id go with the first one or the fourth. Thats only my opinion though im sure others will chime in. I wouldnt go with the second one at all because the universal lug holes make it look cheap i think.

I personally like the Lenso LS-31 rims and think they would look pretty sweet on a black fastback.. But then again, the Ikon's look really sweet as well and are a bit darker in color which I think would look awesome..

>>>>> Looks cheep to me, kinda like a Chinese knock-off.

Tenzo Passion 5
>>>>> Ack! How many holes do you need to get this wheel attached! Nice rim except that it screams "Put me on anything!" with all those mounting holes.

Ikon Apex
>>>>> I think this is the most professional looking of the group. The way the spines, ribs, spokes whatever you call them- come out to the edge is refreshing.

Ikon GT5
>>>>> This would be my second choice, great style, but something that you'd be more likely to see on many other cars with custom wheels.

So, that's what I think.

Number 4 without a doubt. The others have just too much silver to look good on a car with no chrome on it. Wheels need to match a car, not stand out as the only thing you see.

If the Tenzo Passion was a simple 5 lug pattern...it would be the winner hands down. However, the universal look is a deal breaker.
That being said...I'd say the GT-5 is the best choice out of the 4 pictured.

I'm going a little different route with my black 86 GT fastback.
These are the wheels I want for it...

The Ikon Apex would be my first choice of the four as well. IMO, it's less busy, smoother, and unlike the other three, looks like it would be MUCH easier to keep clean because it doesn't have 20 or more "rivets" near the outer edge of the rim.

I don't think you can really go wrong because they are all nice choices, but I prefer the Tenzo Passion 5 personally.

Thanks, and that makes it even harder now cause they all look nice. I think either the Tenzo or GT5 though.

Well it looks like I will be going with the Tenzo because I want a staggered fitment wheel.

partial to the ikon apex's look myself, but they are all similar, so whichever, has the right sizes/offsets for your setup.

Well, I am in love with the Tenzo's so I am gonna going with those. Now next question what is the best tire size to get? I was thinking of 215/45/17 in the front and 235/40/17 in the rear. Would those work or should I go smaller? The offset on these rims is 42 and I have stock suspension.

I like the GT5 best, in that style of wheel. I personally like a simpler design, like the apex, but something about the spokes extending to the edge doesn't look right.
I don't like the Tenzo wheels for the simple fact that they are a dual bolt pattern. Makes it look more of what it is....a cheap aftermarket wheel.
But, since you're leaning towards getting that wheel, what sizes are there? I assume 7 and 8 inch widths?

How about www.ronalusa.com? I love the Ronal LZ's. They are the same on my car and the Plazma's. (See sig) I might be selling them for a fair price to go with a lighter wheel for racing. Let me know if you're interested. 17x8 front (225's), 18x9 rear (265's). Perfect for a mean and aggresive look!

Oh, you said you were going with those wheels because you wanted a staggered fitment. If they're just available in 17x7, then that's not staggered. I guess different offsets could be considered staggered. Or do you mean staggered diameters?

I thought that staggered meant universal fit, but I now know what it means. The only real reason I like the Tenzo more is becuase of the center cap. Otherwise it is pretty much the same wheel as the GT5 and $10 more as well.
