Finally got some pics of the car and engine with the Trueleo intake on it. This is my 86 SE. The car paint and body isn't so great but it looks ok for now. I have more of all the interior work I did this year. Will get them up soon to.

And, how do you like the Trueleo? I have one but haven't gotten around to installing it yet. I need to get rid of the ugly soldering welts first and then have it powdercoated...

The Trueleo is great. Best mod I have ever done. Huge improvement over the stock intake and very big diffrence even on the 2.8. On a 3.4 it will probably be even better. The welds don't bother me to much. I had it powdercoated straight from Trueleo when they made it. Awesome service working with them to!

Looks good. The welds could use some grinding, though. One question. Why is it not aluminum?

I'm not being negative, I just don't understand so someone explain. Why pay so much money to upgrade an old motor? I'd rather spend the $600 or so on a new motor for a nice swap. I could understand keeping the 2.8 to keep it original fiero, but this changes the appearance and everything. Ease of install? Reliability? Again, not being rude, I just want to know.

some people are not technically inclined enough for wiring/engine swaps, and this is by far cheaper than having SOMEONE ELSE swap a motor in your fiero, this also requires NO wiring changes, bolts right in, and gives a marginal improvement in mileage (for those who dont plant their foot heavier than before)

when i first got my trueleo intake there was a HUGE improvement, since then, ive switched the stock chip back in, and kinda screwed with timing, now it needs tuned again, my biggest issue is the chip i got didnt work right, not sure if it was just my car or what, but at 2500 my car would just start bucking violently, swapped back to the stock chip, and problems gone, however im sure 10-15 Wheel horsepower is gone too, cause the chip made a large improvement in my dyno sheet, i guess getting my air/fuel ratio away from 9:1-11:1 makes a large difference

at wide open throttle with the trueleo chip my car was very nice.

the trueleo intake/exhaust package is basically for those who can do bolt on changes but dont want to change the factory wiring.

i agree that it should probably be done while the engine is out getting refreshed/stroked though.

Thanks guys for looking at the pics. I'm gonna get more up of the interior soon. I wish I could get pip working in Vista though instead of posting the pics the way I did. As for everyone wondering why I would do all this work to a 2.8. Well I guess I am crazy like that. After all I do have one of the very few Turbo Iron Duke Fieros sitting in my driveway. Yes I did run but for a few months. I have to do some work to that but I like my V6 right now. Its faster then the duke even with the Turbo. Also another reason for doing this to the 2.8 and not doing a swap or at least a 3.4 is because when I got the car 3 years ago the 2.8 only had 10,000 miles on it. I can't see pulling a perfectly good motor. It runs great and is very fast for a 2.8. As far as engine swaps goes that will be for the third one I get when this one is done. I'm looking into a V8 swap. Maybe a 3800SC. We will see what happens with it when the time comes. Also m0sh_man I am running the stock chip also with the Trueleo. I haven't tryed the chips that came with it. But I am afraid they will not work with an auto. But it runs really strong with the stock chip. But like you said I think a better chip can push a few more HP out of it.
