Will 245 50 16's fit on the rear of my 86 SE Fiero or am I asking for clearance problems trying to run them, I have a chance to buy a set of them at a very nice price. The rims I have are 16 X 7 with + 38 mm off set. Thanks Dan

I've got 255/ 50 on 16x7-1/2" with no problems. Diameter wise you should be ok - 7" might be a problem. You might want to check with a tire shop before buying.

I agree with gaas88 - the 7 inch rim might be a little small unless you are not going to push the car - I always had a minimum of 7 1/2 inch rims

I ran 245/50/16's on the back of my 85GT for a long time. The size will fit with the correct offset on the rim. I belive I was running +30mm on an 8" rim.

Thanks for the replies so the main point is 245 50 16's on a 7 inch rim with the +38 mm off set will clear the strut towers it is just a matter of how well they will mount on the 7 inch wide rims. If the deal doesn't go through would I be better off then just buying a new set of 235 50 16' for the rear to match up with the 225 50 16's I have on the front. Thanks Dan

If you want something alittle shorter why not buy 245/45/16's? They are about 24.6" in diameter. I run them on all 4 corners on my SBC 88.

take it as kind of twisted logic, but i've had 255/50-16'on 7.5" rims for a while. 245's are about 1/2" narrower, as is your rim, so i'd guess they'd go on.
i'm wondering if the 88 in gaas88's name means he has an 88 fiero. mine don't fit without a coil over change and i know 88's can take a little wider wheel/tire combo stock.
