Kids steal BMW and Benz emblems to hang on a chain around their neck. Lame - I know. I guess a Fiero emblem would be more rare and "different". Who knows about these characters, maybe they think it's some kind of Ferrari model, if they can't read the PONTIAC on the car.

i can't ever remember anyone wanting one to wear or display or anything like that. i'd be more drawn to believe it's just an act of vandalism.
fortunatly i've never had one stolen, but i think if it were i might be inclined to look around the area and see if they just did it and tossed it aside.

In the past year I've had two stolen. One from my drive way and the other at the mall. Both times who ever did the stealing didn't bother to remove them properly just broke them off, the mount nut was on the ground below the bumper each time.

Never had one stolen, but the one on my 88 flew off, bouncing off the windshield going about 90MPH soon after I got it running the first time. Never got around to replacing it. Waiting for the paint to go on first.

I had the nose emblem and the little quarter window arrows stolen one night. Sucks. Seems like some axxholes will steal ANYTHING! I had the red flag stolen off my rural mailbox recently. The federal mailbox police wouldn't even take my report. . .

it's those punk a$$ so called street racers. when they beat you, they take your badge. sounds like some just want to steal badges and brag about they "won". i hope i catch one of then one day. the'll get the badge all right.

Mine flew off while I was driving. I bought a stick on arrowhead Pontiac emble off of a Montana minivan from the dealership.
You know they are made out of plastic, bolted to the nose of your car for the past 20 years. It's surprising that some badges have lasted this long. Plastic gets brittle in the sun, and the wind blows pretty hard on the nose of your car at freeways speeds.
Or, it could be roving gangs of street racers. But I don't think so. The Fiero can NEVAH LOOSE!

Years ago i had all the emblems stolen off my 68 firebird. ( and the gas tank drained ) Really pissed me off, as aside from getting the *new* ones i put on, i had just restored/painted the body and they scratched the hell out of it in the process.

mine went missing as well, it sucked cuz like they just pealed off the actuall center part of the emblum and so the outside black part was still there and i noticed it one day when i was washing my car and i was more upset that i didnt know when it happened then that it did happen, im 99% sure it was the neghbor kids that moved about 2 weeks later, but i have no proof, just a hunch.

Hmm, interesting that this topic is out now, the emblem on my 88 Formula seems to not be there. Can't say when it disappeared , just that it's gone.
Thankfully, I bought an extra one at the Swap Meet a couple of years ago, OEM still in the box. Now, I jsut have to figure out how to put it on so that it'll take C4 to remove it.
