Just curious if anyones used the Fierostore's projections style headlamp kits ( Part # 72207D ) Is it worth the 70$? or will I get similar results with a set of sylvania silverstars?

Cool, I haven't even heard about them. Are they HID's (Xenon) or are they just regular Halogens? From price I'm guessing they're halogens.. I'd love to get Xenon projectors for the Fiero though.

I haven't tried their kit, but have used Silverstars and was horribly disappointed. They were amazingly bright, for a little while. But lasted only about 3 months. They were good one morning, but I got pulled over going home as one had blown out, the other one followed shortly after.
They are very bright though, just don't last nearly as long as I would think they should.

Side note... once you blow one light... the others tend to go right after that... try it, if you take out one of two of your tial light bulbs out, youll end up blowing the ones that are still in there... thats why when you see cars w/ all the tail lights out, it started w/ one and it just burnt up the others :P.... or try this one, have your headlights on, pull the plug, and its a pretty high risk of blowing the other headlight
learned that the hard way

So no one has used these? I had silverstars in my old GT, and they were bright, but if I can get something bright for a tiny bit more $....oh well, unless someone chimes in with experiance with these lights, i'll probably just pick up some silverstars this weekend.

I so want to put Silverstars on mine. I haven't seen how bright the sealed beam version, is but I've installed them in Europe in my moms car. (her car has separate bulbs for brights and lows) and her lows are now so much brighter, almost a real white. No blueish Xenon tint (which only looks cool, but actually isn't brighter) but bright white. Makes her highs (still stock bulb) almost redundant.
When I shopped for lights years ago and researched the topic, I found out the following: What kills car lights isn't age, or burn time, as in regular home lights. What kills car lights is vibration. and that is depended on road conditions. Less vibration = longer bulb life. Make sure the Silverstars aren't overheating too. On my Ford Probe forum people don't like using Silverstars as they literally melt the wiring harness if they are left on for longer periods.
Oils from your hands tend to give the bulbs less of a lifetime. Same with halogens. When installing them, use a tissue to handle them. My sylvania's have lasted a couple years in my truck. And are still going!
