I just finished swapping all of the body panels except for the roof on my 1984 Fiero. The panel you have pictured had one or two rivets under the trim. The trim also has a "Christmas tree" clip on one end, and a normal looking clip in the middle. The rocker panel plugs into the bottom of this panel with three tabs. You'll probably have to remove the rocker panel at least half way to the front to get enough play to get it out of the panel. Be careful not to break the tabs. I wrecked one rocker panel taking it out.
When putting the new panel in, the part sticking out the top has to be carefully fitted up behind the part in back of the door jamb.
When I put the new panel in I used a plastic rivet tool from the Fiero store and two plastic rivets. Two fasteners, the kind you push in and they are held in by ribs on them, hold either end of the molding. I still haven't found the right fastener for this at Autozone or Parts America. The wheel well cover screws into this panel in two places I think.

that is looking sweet! I paid $1000 for a black paint job last November. That front end picture looks just as good as mine. Have a safe trip to Daytona, I can't justify it myself

Paint a real small red hourglass in the middle of the front bumper, between the bumper pads. (cuz if you put it on the car's underside - who's gonna see it?)
in the video, at around 27:35 he takes off the molding on the quarter panel, and at 31:30 he takes the panel off. You will have to loosen the rocker or take it off. I"m sorry i didn't get when in the video he does that, but it is maybe somewhere around 23 minutes. I'm also not sure if any of the wheel well liner bolts attach to the quarter pannel. Patience is a wonderful thing to learn, and an important thing to have. You can learn a lot watching the video. However, I would not recommend using an electric drill right in the gas cap area, especially if the cap has been off for a while. Think big boom.
I liked the part in the video where he yells "don't back up don't back up!" then "crash!" lol.
Anyways, have fun.

Your Rustoleum job is coming out pretty good, so I'd like to ask, what ratio of thinner to paint have you been using.... I have heard anywhere from 2 parts paint to 1 part thinner to 1 to 1. Also, have you stuck to the high density foam rollers, or done some other work like using a brush and such?

ok well i havnt been on here in a few days(tired from painting and playing Wii!) so...
i love the black widow idea!
i let jerry paint one day and it came out really drippy but i fixed it!
the 1 to 1 ratio can get pretty thin so try like 1.5 paint to 1 thinner or 2 to 1, i depends on what layer it is and what part your painting. i find that the first few layers should be thicker then the last. if you do the last layer thinner then be very careful for drips but it fills in stuff better than the thicker mix.
the high density foam rollers are great! but be sure to use the small or medium sized ones! the large one is just to much of a pita! at walmart there is a set of sponge brushes in various sizes, which come in handy for detailing and such. o, and.... be sure not to use a too-thin mix with the rollers cause the paint will be so sensetive that it was just scratch off when you go to wet sand between layers!
man i am soooo excited for daytona!!! i cant wait to meet people! o to be able to lounge around in a bikini
