I prefer the chopped look. Mainly becuase it makes the car look wider which adds to the exotic look

Don't worry you're not alone on your opinion about chop-top Fieros. I'm not a fan of the scissor doors either. But to each their own; it's their car, not mine.

As I had a stock GT, from 88 to 96 and from 2003-04 I can add my 0.02 worth. I never thought I'd own a "chop" or do this to my car. I was kind of "on the fence" until my stock Fiero was no longer "stock" - with the SBC upgrade. Since it was never ever going to be stock again I threw out that idea and ordered the Chop. I am very happy with the chop. In person, the chop isn't as dramatic as everyone thingks. The lines just look right.

If I have another Fiero - would I chop it? Hmmmm --- where's that sawzall!!

Hey CPU, have you noticed a increase in people starring at your chopper vs. when it was a "bubble top"?

I was all for the choptop, but after seeing Bobby's & Alex's Widebody in person a few weeks ago I have completely changed my mind... And on time cause I had the $$$$ ready (Thanks ExoticSE for the trip & Archie for the quote delay (still waiting)). The widebody and dropping the suspension compensate for it IMO.

True, this is one of the few "bubbletops" that look well proportioned to my eye.

Theres not really a huge debate here on which looks better.. It's a personal preference.

Some like it, some don't. I personally like the look, but will be only doing mine to 2-2.5" and not 3 like archie does. I like the look of madcurls and others, simply because it looks wider, and exotic.

There are lots of nice either chopped or not chopped cars.. Not just a select few..

Personally I like the non chopped but some of them look good done right oto. It depends on what other mods it has.
All down to personal preference in the end so each to his own.

The Fiero was originally designed to be two inches shorter, at least that is what it says in the Gary Wizenberg (sp) Fiero book. It was increased two inches because a very tall GM bigwig didn’t feel there was enough head room for himself.
Even though I love chop tops, I would like to see a more subtle two inch chop.

I never heard that before. I have plenty of headroom even with a chop top. What I want is more legroom. I push the seat all the way back and would still like 2 more inches...and it would be nice if there was 6 to 8 inches behind the seats when they were pushed back all the way. So I would like a Fiero with a 8 to 10 inch stretch in the passenger compartment.
