All of my fiero videos for the Autocross season, and most of my Cavalier videos. I'm working on uploading the rest of the ones with the Cav in the next couple of days, but this is a Fiero forum...hehe
I figured youtube playlists would be easier than trying to post an individual link to each video (28 runs in the Fiero, 17 now and will be 29 total Cavalier runs)
Enjoy!
Bonus points go to:
The person who can tell what's going on during the 5th run during the 4/23/06 set without peeking at the descriptions.
Further bonus points to people who can tell what's making noise on the Cav whilst accelerating (Hint: it's why I'm in the SM class with the Cav)

Granted...I'm sure I've said something about it somewhere on this forum....
Dirt track racing in a 90 cav? Hmm.
Depends on your rules, but the suspension setup I have in my cavvy is adaptable to the 2nd Gens if you have some know-how. I'm running the Koni Sport Kit (springs and struts in one kit) with 25mm anti-roll bars front and rear with front and rear strut tower braces.
For better Cavvy info, you might want to hit up the folks at www.j-body.org (I'm squisher00z24)

I have not been up there in 2 years, but I am working on making it to more events this year.
I run in Lexington ky, but used to travel to Walesboro IN and Dayton OH a lot.

Yes sir, that would be the old Walesboro airstrip That surface likes tires...munch, munch, especially when I'm driving that whiny red car of mine.

Did you ever get a clean run on 2-26? Looked liked you hit a cone every run.
Sounds like you lost a belt on that 5th run on 4-23. What went wrong?
2-26: Not sure if I ever did get a clean run that day, but being February it was a fun event and didn't count for points, so I was probably pushing harder since it didn't matter.
4-23: yup, chucked the belt off the water pump. The bolts on the water pump pully had been working themselves loose all day apparently. There is usually another Fiero guy there, and between the two of us we got it put back together so I could drive it home. Had to miss out on my 6th run though. I put the camera behind the back window so that I could get better sound. Any other place, and all I get is wind noise, although the view isn't so good through the window, it was interesting to see how much I trail-braked based on the brake light.
Oh well, fun times in any case.

It's been more than 5 years, but yeah I've been there. I'd LOVE to get my Fiero down there and run. Right now I'm not too sure that my car is up to it or not - might have a head gasket letting go! Hell, I bought the car for autocross 4 years ago...
I'll see what I can do...

Hey no corn, you can see the whole track. Cool videos thanks! I went down there a couple of times the summer before to watch Joel H. run his black '87GT but the tall corn made it rough for us spectators see much.

The tall corn is hard on mirrors too if you shred your tires and use a Cavalier like a combine
Joel has a serious f'n setup on his little beasty too. I wonder why he even bothers with springs as hard as they are....damn gokart is what he's got. Not like that's a bad thing
