do you have the code number for that color of blue, I really like it.
thanks Matt
Not to be rude but I'm pretty sure he's going for something to look different than everyone else.
Revin brings up a pretty good point Casey, are you going to paint the blower blue too or leave it red? Can't wait to see it in person this summer. Looks good here in pics and I'm sure, as with most cars/colors, pics probably don't do it justice.

The factory 1987 blue code for PPG is 161317. I'm curious to see how much I need to buy. The single stage laquer according to PPG will polish to a high gloss. I'd also guess you could change how it looks by what color primer you'd end up using.
Nice blue! I can't tell from the pics what shade it is, but it looks like a cobalt or bright blue metallic. Keep the pics coming! Always like seeing blue ones.

Dave kind of hit it, when it comes to motor work etc I'm more then willing to share info. I kind of want to be unique like last time, I don't believe any fiero I saw had the red color I went with.
I might actually paint the blower gunmetal/silver and keep the valve covers red. I think blue with the red fuel rails would look a bit odd My brothers saying end of April it'll be good to go, kind of bummed about that. It'll give me time to save up for the 42.5 injectors.
No idea what gun, my brother had me do pretty much all the prepping tearing down and he's just going over the work and painting it. I guess even if it's taking longer then I expected can't beat a good paint job for free. About the guns and compressor no idea what he's using, he works at a body shop. Hopefully we get some more done in these next 2 weeks. I know he talked about reassembly and the week after that I'll have friday, saturday and sunday to monkey with it.

ok haven't really done to much, things have came up kind of slowed us down. I nabbed a few more pics, my mirrors looked like complete crap (should've gotten before pics) not sure if the body shop who painted it last time prepped my mirrors right, they chipped easily and then looked like pitted garbage My brother didn't care for how wavy the spoiler was so he fixed it then reprimed it. I'll post back if with any major changes
I know tomorrow were going to reassemble the body and it should be good to go next weekend! time to tear up the roads and play with people
Thanks for the update. YOur car is going to look very nice in that Blue. I can not wait to see the car completed. Are you bringing it to the MFC show or Auburn in July?
we got the rear fascia and front on today I must admit I had a chub
I forgot my darn digital camera though!! ugh! we still have some assembly left it should be 99% done next weekend. My brother wants the finish to look like glass, I'll post a pic tomorrow night after I get home from work. I plan on stoppin by to snag some pics.
it's the new trend Dave I can't wait to see your flashy yeller formula with that shiney DOHC

You might get to see that color on a fast back soon enough, as my friend down here wants to paint his that color. His body work is almost done, he just doesnt have another car to drive while he paints it.

Car looks good. What would the emblems look like if you made a recessed area and inserted them in the black trim just above where they currently are located?? I am envisioning a more "factory" look with the emblems integrated into the trim piece. I am not sure if that is even a viable option with the way the trim is molded, but it is just a thought that I figured I would throw out there.
