today, i finally got the other heads on and was trying to adjust rocker arms, and ive done this before by just putting it in gear and pushing the car to wear the piston is tdc, well this time it would go so far and not go further, i was freaking out, i thought maybe the valves were hitting the piston, but this setup has been done b4 and that guy had a higher comp ratio, so finally my dad said try to turn the crank pulley, so i did and it finally worked. ahh i was scared for a sec, i just want it all together with no probs.
oooo dinner time burritos........

The next time you need to turn the motor over, by hand, just remove the spark plugs to get rid of the compression.

well i guess the rims are gonna be on hold for a while, discount tire would only let me loan 800 bucks i need antoher 900, so itll have to wait, i eont settle with cheap rims.
the exhaust is coming out real nice. im so happy to have a real mandrel bent exhaust, not crimp crap.
still need a intake manifold, i guess the one i bought is corroding from who ever had it before.
the heads and valvetrain are done.
just waiting on powdercoating and intake manifold. then hopefully i will make nwff on time, not gonna enter car.
also baxters auto is having free dyno day, so i signed up but no guarantee on if i can get in......

Do you need an intake manifold for the 2.8??? I've got a crazy amount of V6 related parts left over since my V8 conversion. I have the lower intake manifold, the middle runners, and the upper plenum, etc, etc. I don't know what shipping would be but I can check if you are interested.

finally got my engine parts back, and thanx to aaron (electrathon) i have nice powder coated parts. ok so i have everything minus p&p, comp tune, engine balance, higher comp ratio, pulleys (since i have a cam), and a adj fuel pres reg. I do plan on getting a fuel reg soon though and a comp tune at some time, i may also get a supercharger? i got it started and it sounds amazing, def not a v6 sound. cant wait to see what it drives like. i need to redo valve covers though as im leaking oil out, should have used black rtv stuff. but no other leaks. heres a pic, need to redo vaccum lines and clean it up a bit.

Discription:
Everything Works. I have built this car for street use but also for looks of a show car.
I have run out of time and money to work on it, so I need to seel it. I have over $10k
in parts alone, not including labor. I would like to get $7500 obo. Included with
purchase is many of the original engine parts, new tinted rear 1/4 windows, and a
custom dashboard I believe from Pisa Corps Fiero, about $700 new. It has an oil leak
thats needs to be fixed. I believe its coming form the valve covers. It also has a
vaccum leak, I cantfind where thats coming from. It starts right up no prob, but after it
warms up to about 160 degrees, it has trouble staying at idle, thats where the vacuum
part comes in. I have started molding the drivers side in, thats almost done. The
passengers side I have left undone mostly so I could take the fenders back off. The
lambo door on that side is not currently working. The ball joint broke, so it needs a
new one welded in, $20. Then the wires will need to be connected through the door,
they are all there. Pretty much you'll just need to finish body work, and get it painted.
Get some rims and you have yourself a show car. This car ran 15.15 last year before
rebuild, it will run low to mid 14s now, and maybe high 13's with proper tuning. I'd
suggest holley fuel pres reg, and chip tuning. Should get over 200 rwhp.

ok i suppose im gonna keep it a while longer, though i am going back to original doors, im not liking the lambo door thing as much as i though i would. so i gotta redo valve covers with powder coat they came out dull the first time, i guess they got baked too long. after door hinges, gonna finish body work, not much more, then hopefully off to paint. fuel press reg is on the way to hopefully i can get it tuned, jus tneed to find vacuum leak first. buy rims and tires, either 18/19's or 19/20s, not sure only 200 buck difference. get alignment, install 7in cd dvd touch screen player, and get exhaust tips.

well today i got ngk ur5's, i must say im very happy, runs and drive much better, also found the tubing that goes to the egr was melted ha, also had a clunking noise, was exhaust fixed that, but not i think because it was so loose, i now have a exhaust leak, sounds like front manifold, man this sucks, hard to get too also long tube headers, hard to get to bolts. getting a chip from westers garage soon, ill let everyone now how that turns out. oh yeah no more lambo doors, they are now up for sale if anyone wants them, you will have to drill new holes for the door, but the hinge itself will bolt to the frame no prob only on 2 bolts though, will hold fine, will suggest stronger shocks, and passengers side will need a new hinge ball joint, have catalogue for that, shouldnt be more than 20 dollars, will sell $200 plus shipping.

ok i had some probs with idle lately, seems after warm up id get a code 13. so i checked both tps and o2 sensor, and nothing they are both fine. o2 sensors reads rich which it is. but i got my parts back from aaron (powdercoating) and now i have my afpr and guage on, and a new chip for smaller injector pulses. so maybe ill get her running right. also just bought ferrari taillights, lol, yeah. and might do wide body?
