Is it possible to remove the pontiac arrow emblem that's right behind the door on an 84 fiero? I would like to take it off and paint it bright red, but I don't want to break it in the process.

I just ordered new ones from the Fiero Store, I think 12 bucks each. I broke one trying to take it out. However, I would like to know what kind of adhesive to use for installing new ones.

I used clear GE Silicone intended for exterior use on my second set. Takes only a small amount. The first set suffered some image damage because of the glue I used, so I had to buy a second set. They've been on about 5 years.

i used 3M double sided tape, thats what I was told to use by the guy I bought my sailpanels from. Mine have not moved or gotten loose at all and they have been on for a little less than a year. the only problem I had was taking the old ones out, i tried prying it and it bent the plastic edge that the badge sits in.

Just drill a hole in the center of the arrow, it gives an area to pry the old one out. There is a 3M trim adhesive thats used. But most silicone caulk used sparingly will work. BTW, if you want to remove sail panel inserts.. a steamer works well. Dont have to even remove the frame from the car. Or the bad language..
