Well my daily driver just took a dump on the way to get some food . . .YAY. So any takers on what happened? It popped and started shuddering and i coasted to a stop. Coolant is all over to bottom of the motor and the serpentine belt was broken. I tried to restart but it just turned over very rough. Oh well . I was just saying the day before on how this car ( my gold beater) was gonna get a 3800sc swap this summer. I guess it couldn't wait LOL. Well this was more of a vent than anything. Now the V-8 blazer has to pick up the daily driving chores for a while. Those damn 2.8's are pissing me off.

belt snapped, drained power off batt and died. then overheated and spilled its guts. how close am i? do i get a prize?

Well got it back to the house and cranked it over and it kinda bouces up and down. Like someone is pushing the car down then letting it bounce back up. So i'm gonna guess it threw a rod . . . typical. It wasn't overheating when it happened so the belt probably broke when the crank stopped abruptly. Oh well the weak link has been found and will be eliminated. Stupid 2.8 (in homer voice).
