Well, today i got around to putting my car on the dyno. 88GT 5spd, 96 Vin 9 Northstar, headers, spintech muffler, spec aluminum flywheel and stage 3+ clutch, cold air intake and I'm running Ryan Hess's computer. 1st pull was 284.7 2nd was 284.7 and 3rd was 284.2. Pretty darn consistant. Only thing i have to do is reduce the accel enrichment a bit at low delta TPS changes.

Nice. Dammit I need to get my car back on the road.

Got pics or build thread for your headers?

Your low RPM timing tables might need some work... My car's torque graph was a little broken up like that when the IAT sensor was unplugged.

https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/076767.html theres a few pics there or my headers. I'd love to get a set of fully ported heads with cams from chrfab and wind it out to 8000 but that'll have to wait for a while. The funds are a little low at this point being a full time student living on my own.

If that doesn't get me going on mine nothing will.

All three runs within 1/2 hp, incredibly consistant. Nice runs.

When things go bad,
don't follow them. Joe

Next dyno session leave out the music and put the camera behind the car as close as you can get it and still have the exhaust tips in the picture. The sound of a tuned V8 makes me thank God for the gift of hearing.

Nice work, you should bottle your exhaust gasses and sell it in the mall.

swap took me about 5 weeks start to finish. I worked on it pretty hard though. I tried doing a hp run using my gtech the same day for comparison but the salt trucks had been out and traction was limited. I'll have to wait till spring to see how it compares.

Well... still a few minor issues. Nothing that can't be fixed with time.

6400 rpm red line and 285 hp at the wheels!!!!!! With a 15% driveline lost it comes out to be 338hp at the fly wheel (completely stock engine + just headers....)

It makes you wonder what 11.5 compression pistons + ported heads and cams with 8250rpm redline can do...???
430hp no Sweat! and only 2850lbs car

88 GT Fieros are about 2720lbs but I have added the engine swap weight and the wheels+brakes) so my Fiero will be around 2850lbs

2850/430=6.62 lbs/hp ratio not bad ha..

Just for comparison the ferrari 360 Modenas are 3150lbs and make 390hp (about 89K-115K price value)

3150/390=8.076 lbs/hp Ferrari360 ratio
