Anybody in CO or surrounding states interested in a Performance Driving School next Spring?? Exact date is yet to be determined, but it will be on a Saturday in late March or early April. Location is tenatively set for Castle Rock area, with a backup locale at DIA.
The school will consist of a skidpad, performance braking exercise, increasing radius and decreasing radius turn features, early and late apex features, both a 60' and 75' slolum, and as little classroom time as possible (students will be behind the wheel learning both their and their car's limits in a safe environment with SCCA instructors). There will be no more than an hour or so in the classroom total.
Cost is not yet determined, but should not exceed $50 for each driver. Multuple drivers for each car (husband wife, etc) is acceptable.
If there is any interest, please respond on MHF website.
My son will be one of the instructors, 5 time National trophy winner. When I asked him to help out, he "volunteered" to take you out in your beast and show you how to drive it at it's limits - - remember he saw it when we took that trannie part over. Anybody at Wheatstock saw him demonstrate his driving skills and qualifications to host this school.
Anyway, should be fun!

I might be up for that... My car would be at Omaha's World of Wheels show March 16-18, so it has to be after that... And of course, weather permitting. (No snowy roads for me)
Barring any other complications, I could likely make the drive out there.
What is the MHF website? When will more info be available? Feel free to email me any further info, or reply here.
Thanks!

Good to hear from you - it's been a while!
MHF is Mile High Fieros (www.milehighfieros.com). But you don;t really need to go to that site, all my message on there asks is that interested folks contact me at my e-mail addy anyway. I directed folks to that site so that no flaming PM's could be sent to responders, as I have had happen on PFF recently.
I intend to break it up into 5 features, using former SCCA National trophy winners as instructors. It will be held proior to a regional autocross, that way a Fiero owner can go to a driving school on Satrurday and participate in a real competition the very next day (if they would like). Dates and locations will be announced when next seasons schedule is determined.
Stay tuned!!

I wished I lived in CO, that sounds like a blast! I do have family there tho...
Why not visit your family, and then and borrow a car for the school ? There could be a couple people willing to share their car in exchange for entry fee or something . . .
