On Sunday I received the story straight from the "horse's mouth." Well at least from Lance Miller, son of the late Chip Miller, and co-owner (for his mom) of Carlisle Productions.

He said that not only is Carlisle Productions remaining at the existing Carlisle Fairgrounds, but they have actually leased more space from the Armory resulting in more parking and space for their events. It is a long-term lease (20 years) so any rumours of CP folding up and moving should be quelled.

It looks like we will see at 13th Annual Fieros at Carlisle!

On a side note, we were at the Miller's to see Chip's private collection of 20 Corvettes that included the C5-R raced by Dale Earnhardt and Junior, the Purple People Eater, the lowest mileage '53 Vette known to exist and several Corvette Challenge cars, among others. It was an incredible experience that I felt lucky to be a part of.

Lance also told me that he loves Fieros - his first two cars were 86 GT's. The first was an automatic and then he traded it in for a 5 spd. Pretty neat little story!

Now I hope someone will step up to the plate and do as good a job as you over the years with the annual show in May!

Actually someone did step up - several people actually. Our nominee to be the next President is Robb Leppo (amflyer on here) and Mike Mayer (who helped out with registration) offered to be VP plus we have many other volunteers. I'm quite optimistic and looking forward to next year!

I only started that rumor after I found evidence confirming that it was being run up the flag pole Glad to hear that they decided to stay. What'd he say about the "new" convention center outside gate 3 being on the market???

Hehe. I wasn't implying you as the rumor starter...just taking Lance's words since I think there was truth to what you said :-)

He didn't mention anything about it but I would imagine it was probably a money-losing venture?
