I don't quite know the distance frome Newton to the Cordova Tower, but we are suppose to leave Newton at 11:00 if that gives you any idea.
On a side note, I heard back from the Knoxville Sprint Car Museum and they are expecting us around Noon and the admission for our group will be $2 per person.

Newton to the Cordova tower is about 25 minutes. From the Cordova tower to the Sprint car museum is about 10 minutes.......Depending on how fast you drive. I'll be waiting for you at the Cordova tower.

I would not mind if we left Newton a little early so that we have some time at the tower. If there are no objections lets plan to leave Newton as early as 10:45 but no later than 11:00.
If anyone has a GPS that displays speed, I would love to borrow it to check the accuracy of my speedometer on one of the legs of our trip. I think my speedo is about 2 to 3 mph slow.
Thanks.

Just for information the Valle Drive-In movie opens at 6:30, first show 7:30 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. First Feature; 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Beginning'. Second big hit 'Snakes On A Plane'. PM me if anyones interested in Saturday Or Sunday night. The new Airport road AKA Rusty Wallace Dr., is now open between the Reasnor Rd and Exit 168 on I80. I told the editor of The Newton Daily news that we'd kick off the Cruise @ 10:00 at the Farm Credit Services parking lot. Dan, if you need any help with Okiboji Grill, PM me.
See ya Sunday! Weather sounds cloudy but no rain?
Now if I can figure how to wax or cover up a worn out clear coat?

We have the party room reserved for approx. 5 p.m. on Sunday at Okiboji grill which is right next to the Farm Cerdit Services Building that is our starting point. As for haniging around the Cordova Tower a little longer I don't see why not. We can still leave at 11 and just adjust our timetable as this is just a relaxing cruise with no real set time limits anywhwere, plus I'd hate to leave early and miss some people that come in under the wire. Heck if we meet up with others we may not roll in till 10:30 ish.
http://www.okobojigrill.com/ we will be ordering individually from the menu and I have estimated 30 to 35 people, if it's less I may call early in the day and let them free up the room and we'll just have to inundate to regular seating area.
Dan

FUC*IN junk yards!!! i was really wanting to make that!! i have been waiting on my frikkin rear caddy calipers for almost two weeks now!! those are the last things i need to take it for a drive!!!
Oh Well, at this point it will be finished just in time to store it for the winter!
Sorry that I ran out on supper in Newton. The route was fun even with the detour.
Erik, you are crazy. There was no way I was even going to try to keep up with you.
I had to take care of some things at home. However, I have started editing the video. There is an hour of tape and about 50 photos that I need to go through. I will get it on-line as soon as I can. It will be around 1:00 am or sometime tomorrow before it is finished.
More later.

Erik, after I am done with the main video I am going to make a 30 second clip of your passing maneuvers. Some people are larger than life, you are one of them. It is the best part of the entire video.
I was telling someone at the Iowa Speedway that you just could not help yourself. I knew you would like the route.
This is my new desktop. I have full size photos upon request if anyone else wants any.
Did anyone else happen to see this trailer parked near the Newton meeting place today? I had to stop.

Can't wait to see the videos, Kenton you really know how to put them together. I still get enjoyment out of watching the past ones. Hopefully the 30 second clip will show my newish wheels as I have yet to see what they look like while rolling.

I probably put more miles on my Fiero yesterday than I have in the past year. 304 miles total, from Marion to Newton and back, and 100 more on the tour route. Can't think of a nicer place to do it, too.
Thanks for the work you guys did on this. I can't wait 'til the next one.

Wow guys, looks like you had a good turnout and a good time. Sorry I missed the cruise. I was sick all weekend with the flu. Just getting back to work today. Tim, I got your message yesterday. I didn't even want to hear a phone ring for three days. Nasty stuff. I had planned to bring three cars to the cruise. My wife was coming and I had my mother-in-law talked into driving one of the cars with her granddaughter. Looks like I'll have to wait until next years events now.

It was nice to see some familiar faces and also meet some new ones. It was a nice day for a cruise with some nice people in some nice cars. Lambo, too bad you were sick. Mark Klein was wanting to talk to you. You missed some nice cars. Oh well, there is always next time. I still owe you lunch some time.
